The Brit commentators really have a lot to answer for in perception of fights. Usyk had clearly won every round from 4 onwards and possibly the first. Usyk was dominating the fight yet their narrative is Bellew was up on the cards.

Bellew deserves a lot of credit for the performance he gave and his heart.

Love the way Brook is getting cheered to the rafters and Khan is getting booed out of the joint.

Tony the same guy who was dropped by Jevgenijs Andrejevs, Ovill McKenzie twice and Bob Ajisafe let's not overrate his power now.

Surely there are rules against Eddie Hearn trying to help him up.

Thats what Haye would have done to Bellew if not shot to bits.

U could smell the ko was coming. Bellew put up a decent performance but ultimately his limitations showed. Uysk didn't show enough in this fight to suggest he could step up to dominate the heavyweight division. He got the job done right enough so it will be interesting to see who he decides to fight next

When Usyk wants to punch, he can punch. He just doesn't sit down on his punches much.

With his handspeed, once he puts his weight into a punch it's going to be with big power.

This was a warning to the HW's. Usyk can hurt you, not just outbox you.

Not in the least, Bellew has looked pretty damn impressive in his last few fights, his defense, timing and counter punching has been vastly improved, Usyk just took his time, figured him out and then took him out. Bellew IMO is trickier an opponent just based on skillset than AJ and Gassiev.

    Tony won the first two.

    The third was 50--50.

    He lost all the rest.

    Both.

I have come to appreciate Usyk.... hes a very good fighter, but hes been overrated since the first day Ive heard about him. And Im not saying that with animosity.... Ive just always kinda been caught off guard with how much hype he gets, compared to what I see when I watch him.

Bellew is a very solid fighter that I have never understood why he doesnt get his proper respect.

The way most people were talking about this matchup was pretty bad. People seriously thought this was going to be an embarrassing mismatch.

Very very happy that Bellew put up such a good showing. The downside is, all these people thinking Usyk could beat AJ and Wilder were going to make the odds for those fights very tasty to bet big on AJ and Wilder, and now I am sure the odds will be more realistic, unfortunately.

Anyways, I still expect Usyk to pull ahead here.... but props to Bellew. Very happy for him.
