I think Usyk is a bit overrated, he’s no Lomachenko. However I still have no doubt he can unify at heavyweight, the bigger the fighter the easier it is for Usyk. Beterbiev, Hunter, that Uzbek guy are all smaller and gave Usyk his tougher fights. I’ve been saying it forever that heavyweight is where Usyk will be at his best. Bellew is a long counter puncher, I knew he would have some success against Usyk. Joshua doesn’t have the same timing and boxing skill, Usyk won’t lose a round against him.

Everyone says the same thing about Lomachenko, with their style they vary the tempo and the power. When these guys want to put something on a shot they certainly can. Most people don’t know anything about boxing though so they don’t realise what’s happening.

    Well... we shall see ;)

I will be genuinely surprised if Usyk beats AJ. I have him a solid underdog there.

The big shocker was not his slow start but his lack of activity for 3 FKN rounds
Tony fought a great fight for the first 6 IMO

Agreee. The left hand was levelled. Different levels. Bellew never saw it comming. The jab was inconsequential

It was the jab that didn’t give Bellew a chance to breathe. Once Usyk established it and found his range that’s when Bellew started backtracking throughout the rounds.

But yeah I also cba debating it further, just needed to be said for that idiot who quoted me.

Usyk's chin was much better than I expected and he also adapted better than I thought he could, since Bellew was beating him to the punch in the middle of the ring, so Usyk started forcing Bellew to the ropes and made Bellew burn out his energy, so he is also a thinking fighter. A lot of the clean shots that Bellew was hitting Usyk would've rocked most of the other top guys at cruiserweight or at the very least made them overly defensive, but Usyk was absorbing all of those shots like a champ. Hopefully Usyk works on being a little more defensively responsible when he moves to heavyweight, since he could definitely make a major impact at heavyweight.

I’ve said it a thousand times on here... when both Loma and Usyk really dig in and sit on their shots they have good power and snap on their punches. Ask both Bellew and Linares now.

At his best he's a good foil for Costello who isn't professional but dry. But he's too prone to shrill repetition of banal points and he's too partial as well for a journalist. At times he really winds me up.

Like woodhall though, very fair and knowledgeable

Yeah 100% this, you could see as fight went on how he started putting more venom on the jab and he was rocking bellew’s head back with it, first 2 rounds he was using it to just gauge distances but as fight went on he started really setting up his work and pushing back bellew with it.

Agreed with everything you said, Usyk is special but he isn't nearly as good as Loma and that is not meant as a negative thing, Lomachenko is just so far ahead of everyone else. He is probably the most talented and most special fighter we have seen since Sugar Ray, Usyk is my p4p number 2 and ofc Loma is number 1.
