I think he will give Fury too many problems. Nothing Fury throws at him will bother him he will take over and TKO Fury in the late rounds.
I don't see it either, Fury's movement, size and reach, the fact Usyk doesn't move his head enough, he'd get picked off at range and would be too far out to counter. That is of course if Fury isn't completely done, we need to see him vs Wilder to see how much he really does have left. We really need to see how Usyk does vs a bigger man before we see him as a true threat to the elite guys at heavyweight. The smaller, lower level guys like Parker, Ortiz, Whyte etc I think he could potentially beat but the 6'6" plus monsters like Joshua, Wilder, Fury could be a bridge too far.
I cant see Wilder doing anything with him, they'll come in roughly the same weight, its only the reach with Wilder and the one shot with his right hand, Usyk will take the right hand away and pepper him stupid..Dont forget, Bellew is actually fundamentally better than Wilder, Usyk will have far more chances imo with him.
The Usyk hype has reached new heights of stupidity. Fury would beat him easily even this semi washed up looking version. Usyk is incredibly one paced, reminds me of the Pavlik hype years ago, then Hopkins used his lack of variety and one paced style against him. Only thing here is that fury is no Hopkins, but he's intelligent enough in the ring to adjust to anything Usyk does, but I doubt he'd even need to. He'll jab his head off and land the right as and when he wants. Usyk gets inside, then what, he has zero inside game at all. All off his advantages at cruiser are lost at heavyweight.
Fury is all wrong for usyk. Fury takes away his jab with size and reach and ties him up when they get close. Joshua and wilder on the other hand are better suited for usyk
I'm no fan of fury either, but he's a terrible style matchup for Usyk. He's a less polished version of the guy, only infinitely bigger and stronger. Usyk won't get past the jab.
Wilder is the one I think Usyk has the best chance with. Wilder is a poor boxer, if an old, much slower, flat footed Ortiz can out box him, I think Usyk can too. But Usyk could always get caught coming in by one of Wilder's counters like Ortiz was. Wilder is a very underrated counter puncher.
Awesome well thought out analysis, you must have been following boxing for at least 10 maybe 15... Weeks?
tell ya what, they ever fight, i'll fly to Reykjavik and meet you in a bar to watch it, bet whatever you can muster.
