Come forward or stand ground. Its not like one of them is a great mover. Like you said, the defining difference is Kesslers judicious use of the jab. Both are counter punchers who will fight in spurts, and have a tendancy to shell up when under pressure. Cheers Tom
I'm white, and have tatoos. Does this make me an unbeatable machine. Remember SLAPPY Joe, folks Cheers Tom
No noob here TFFP. May not have the post-count, but i'm not an idiot. Not a nuthugger of anyone either. Makes it easier to see reality (ie:both sides of an argument) much clearer. Suck some more Kessler nut, buddy Cheers Tom
Actually you'd make more headway if you would use your considerable boxing knowledge to write good posts more often. I enjoy going head to head with you, but man, this forum needs more thinking and less bull****!
Maybe I should just copy and paste the posts where I can actually be bothered to think seriously into multiple threads. Ever thought about that huh? HUH? :hey I can't be bothered in truth. I mainly come here to pass the work day and pick fights in the prediction thread.
While I agree Kessler is a class above Miranda I do give Edison a solid shot at the upset. Kessler for all his attributes and tools does have a tendency to stay within a well schooled box. Miranda is rugged, strong, tough and fearless thus adding the type of intangibles that create an intimidating figure. Logically Kessler should outbox Miranda but what happens when Edision's sheer animal comes out and forces Kessler to change his game plan dig deep and add instinct instead of education. Joe C showed Kessler versitility and adaptation which at points in the fight frustrated Kessler and kept him within a shell. Again I would pick Kessler but anyone who doubts Edisions potential for destruction in this fight is only kidding themselves.
Well said. Guys that claim someone is a no-hoper are ignorant. Especially when that no-hoper packs dynamite in his right hand! Cheers Tom
Look dudes - Andrade is much bigger and have at least equal power to Edison's. Andrade moves forward as well. I cant see how on earth Edison would be favoured more than a 10% chance in this. The similiarities are quite striking between Edison and Andrade ( Imagine a fight between the two :scaredas: ) but I must admit Andrade is more volume than power.....and he's less of an athlete when compared to Edison. Libarado elects to come forward with excellent workrate whiles Edison will opt to use angles and counter with shocking power....Andrade counters but he uses it to set up a flurry of attacks.
I agree to the differences you mention - but my point is that Kessler is generally very, very good against come forward fighters such as Andrade, Miranda, Pavlik, Froch etc. The thing you need to beat Kessler is awkward angles, an iron chin and superior speed (Joe).
Good point, I guess I'm banking on the fact that if Joe was able freeze and somewhat stun Kessler at pockets in the fight due to pure pressure one can only wonder what Edision might pull off if given the same opportunity. Grant it Edision is no Joe C but like Bika showed Joe crude pressure and relentlessness can throw just about anyone off their comfort zone. Its obvious Kessler is comfortable executing his attack when his opposition is allows him room and opportunity but when forced into the trenches does he have the mindset to utilize his primal side to his advantage, there's only so much that can be taught in this game the rest is instinct.
