Is Usyk to small for heavyweight? Tony Bellew says that Usyks is too small for the likes of Tyson Fury.

Only one way to find out really - let's see him in the ring with some legit heavies.

Probably too small for the super heavies, but definitely a very worthy addition and added interest to the division.

Possibly but beat a number in the WSB so an interesting addition.

Yeah too small to beat the real big guys for me. As good as his stamina is I think he,ll be the one working harder than he wants to against them. The punches take more out of you plus he's gonna have to be even more elusive to get his work off against them. Giving away three or four stones is a big thing. He,ll compete with them. Just can't see him beating them. Dropped a good few rounds at cruiserweight with his style as it is.

Turn out similar to haye maybe not even as good. He was just a bit too small himself. But the big punch was more useful up there than usyks brilliant skillset imo. Usyk will beat the same sort of level will come up short against Joshua and wilder for me. Fury as well depending on what sort of shape furies actually in.

Too small for the elite big men but will be able to beat the likes of Each and Duhaupas

Too small. For one thing he's not really 6' 3" - Bellew was taller and he's 6'2.5", which is obvious from his fights with Haye and Cleverly. He also has a slight build. A smaller bone structure. His frame looks beefy at Cruiserweight, which means it will look fat at heavy unless he packs on some serious muscle. Much like Bellew.

He's wonderfully skilled, but unless he can do a momentous job of hitting and not getting hit, he's going to run into trouble against the supers. They will simply walk through him or punch through his guard. Roy Jones fought a sluggish and reticent heavyweight in John Ruiz. He could easily outbox that mess. Jones is smart - he never defended against a proper heavyweight. Holyfield, when he moved up, was lucky to be in an era of moderately sized heavies - when he faced a super, Bowe, he lost. Likewise, Haye looked good against fake heavyweights like Barrett, but stank the place out against a super in Klitschko.

Physiology and history are stacked against him.

The other greatest CWs to make it and become world champions at HW were the same height as Usyk at around 6 foot 2 to 6 foot 3.

Usyk without a doubt can pick up a world title at HW.

It’s clearly more difficult to beat AJ or Fury but it can be done. Neither is unbeatable.

I disagree -- I think his speed and skill make him a huge threat to even the biggest heavies. He looked huge on fight next next to Bellew.
His WSB fight against Joe Joyce shows what he can do against guys who are much bigger than him.
Joshua is robotic but obv a huge puncher. Fury less of a puncher but uses his size and skills. Both would of course be hard fights but Usyk could not be counted out.

Just look what Holyfield did at heavyweight. And Usyk will no doubt be bulking up a bit as he looks like he is big at cruiser

If you think so, then you're on the side of old timer heavyweights not being able to compete in modern times.
The likes of Louis, Holyfield, Ali, Tyson, Holmes, Frazier and such, would all be too small to compete against the current crop...

Yet we saw old Povetkin giving Joshua hell until he caught up with him, Fury getting outpointed by McD and tooled by Cunningham until he fouled his way towards a KO victory. And Wilder getting outboxed by a whole battery of smaller heavies up until he nailed them with his right.

All won their fights, but against guys with less skill as Usyk has and in some cases even controversial. It's definitely not that they're unbeatable.

He brings a lot of speed up from cruiserweight. It’ll be like a spitfire against a bomber (before Adam Smith jumps in that was a reference to WW2 and not what happened in Manchester).

6”3 packing in more than 15 stone, he’ll be bigger than Povetkin, faster and more skilled. He’ll win a world title, no doubt about it. Fury would be too much for him but that’s because he too is highly skilled. Can see him taking rounds off AJ but he’s a clever lad and you’d expect him to eventually clip Usyk. Apart from that, Usyk beats everyone.

He is too small for the elite big men but there are not many truly elite Heavyweights out there. He will campaign well at Heavy and be a contender for sure if he packs the right muscle on, he would need to be 225-230 pounds to negate the size advantage but would only want to lose minimal speed. I believe fighting Joshua sooner he would stand in good stead as he has a massive experience advatage. Once AJ has 3-5 more fights at the progression he is going I think Usyk's chances would be vastly reduced.

Louis - brutal power and the best finisher in the history of the division
Holyfield - Granate chin, insane stamina, very good power and fantastic inside game
    Ali - it's Ali
Tyson - brutal power, handspeed, combination punching and ferocity
Holmes - er i don't include him in small hevyweights
Frazier - Buzzsaw inside game, fantastic power
Haye - big power, footspeed, elusive

Usyk doesn't compare to those guys skillset wise for me, all of them had key attributes which are very important at heavyweight.

Usyk for me lacks power (yes he ko'd a gassed Bellew, but bellew doesn't have a good chin even at cruiser)
His handspeed is good but it's not blinding
    He's not really very elusive

At the end of the day people are GASSED by this cruiserweight division, i've seen people saying Bredis, Gassiev AND Usyk would all easily beat Joshua and Wilder but if that's the case why are they even bothering with cruiserweight? Usyk isn't rushing to that fight, because he knows unlike at cruiserweight ONE mistake could = a trip to the hospital.
