I don't have a link yet, but this was reported in the general forum.

In the past some fights have been changed to a No contest after a filed drug test. Tyson for example had one when he tested positive in the Golota fight.

    Thoughts?

Fury's win over Hammer should have been overturned, and the date of the backdated ban should have started at that point... which would have opened a whole new can of worms, but that would have been his own fault.
Also, both Teper's and Thompson's win over Price should have been overturned. As should Peterson's "win" over Khan, and JCC Jr's over Rubio.
Overturning the Guillermo Jones vs Lebedev fight took way too long (years).

Yes the Hammer and Wlad fight should have been overturned. That retroactive ban starting just when the Wlad would not be included is one of the dirtiest things ever seen in boxing.

Fury was never caught with PEDs, actually, as far as I remember. It was cocaine, wasn't it?

Every fight where a fighter has failed a test should be changed to a disqualification loss. But this is boxing where there is no consistent approach to dealing with doping and when all too often the politics of boxing decides on the out come.

It was nandrolone, together with Hughie who also received a ban for it.

Yes, the Hamer fight and the Wlad fight should be a NC

However the issue was by the time the ruling was laid down the belts had fragmented due to him vacating them and we had new champions who I belive had already made defences by that point.

So it would have been unfair on them to strip them and give Wlad back the belts

Wlad did get a shot at getting most of them back vs AJ at least.

I don't care, he should have been banned at the time it happened.

That says more about the quality of testing rather than anything else. Marion Jones never failed a test, Shane Moseley never failed a test. Everyone who lined up for the 1988 100m men's Olympic final later all tested positive when samples where tested years later with more advanced tests but only Ben Johnson was caught at the time.

Once you fail a test it casts a shadow of doubt over your whole career. Especially in a sport like boxing where they don't keep a biological passport which could later give a clue as to how long a fighter has been doping once they fail a test.
