I see some good fundamentals, but not much speed and lateral movement. Probably due to his opponents - why bother, when you know you can KTFO the other guy easily. Bit open to fast jabs (tends to open his guard) and counters. But all this can be ironed out and he is certainly promising. Pretty good amateur experience, right physique and still 24. And he can bang...

Tale of the tape last night listed his reach at 88 inches. Yikes.

This should be a good step up for Efe, but then again I said the same for Curtis Harper.

Definitely got some power and seems to be pretty humble which means I hope he is the real deal.

Remember when there was a load of African Cruiserweights getting hyped up around the same time? - Makabu, Mchunu, Igonoh, Durodola, Kalenga, Kayode

    And what happened there?

    Makabu lost to Bellew
    Mchunu lost to Usyk
Durodola lost to Breidis and Kudrayshov
    Kalenga lost to Masternak
Igonoh - moved up and lost to Breazeale

Some people were saying they were the future of the division. And now they are forgotten about.

In other divisions others were hyped
    Comney - lost to Shafikov
Chilemba - lost to Kovalev, Bivol, Gvozdyk, Bellew
    Olusegun lost to Matthysse
    Ekundayo lost to Corcoran
    Omotoso lost to Samuel Vasquez

    I could go on.....

The point I'm making is I have no faith in hyped African Prospects. Because in the 14 years I've watching boxing they always seem to fail when they get to a certain level.
Ajagba could be an exception you never know, but judging by past results I highly doubt it. I expect him to be added to that list.
