Hearn summed it up pretty well - Johnson already considering staying at world level, why take low pay/high risk at british.

I presume same will go for Hughie Fury.

Would like to see this be mandated as Buatsi vs Burton/Yarde once Johnson vacates

I see this as a duck. It's a big money fight for both guys, would be a main event probably at the O2 and would sell lots of tickets. I guarantee if they dont take it we'll see Callum Johnson vs TBA on an undercard near you.

Johnson doesn't need it. He can get another world title fight without fighting Buatsi.

So Johnson beats the British level Buglioni and lasts 3 rounds with Beterbiev and suddenly he’s world level? Good grief.

He would be smashed by Alvarez, Bivol and Stevenson.

Get the fight on Eddie, Johnson v Buasti early next year - O2 headliner. Stop messing about.

He can also get another world title fight if he loses or beats Buatsi, so whats the downside?

For example Degale and Groves fought early and both went on to be world champions.

They were starting out on their careers. Johnson a bit older than they were.

Johnson has already shown he has balls by fighting Beterbiev and going down swinging, while Butsi has only been pro for just over a year.
I guess they both go for easier but still kinda tough opposition before they face eachother (if they ever will)

One rule for Yarde, one rule for Buatsi on here.

If Hearn is saying Buatsi is the best youngster in world boxing and he beats all the domestic light heavys, he needs to step up and prove it.

Buatsi vs Johnson is cracking fight. No excuses.

Groves and DeGale were in their early twenties were as Johnson is 33. Plus their fight was a ppv headliner were as Johnson v Buatsi isnt.

Think Hearn has already said Johnson will vacate.

    Expect Buatsi vs Burton

    Absolute nonsense

Let Buatsi fight someone British level first before taking on someone world level like Johnson. Hearn said that he is making Hosea Burton vs Buatsi next which is a fight I love.

Yarde for instance turned down a fight with Burton, and also Johnson but let's not even go there as I'm tired of talking about it.

He's beaten someone British level, which is a lot more than Yarde has done.

What's Yarde got to do with It?

Yes, hes beaten Buglioni - big deal. That doesn't make him world level. Johnson has had a stop, start career and he has a thread bare record. It's ridiculous to suggest that's her now far beyond Briish level as Hearn is now saying.

Hearn just wants to use him as a human sacrifice for Bivol to get him to sign for DAZN. It's not even like that's a big money fight for Johnson (unless Hearn is going to take a financial hit) to make it worthwhile.
