It’s laughable that the Ward detractors are mocking him for fighting at home when Joshua won’t dare step out of the UK.
Bit different. Joshua does 90k gates and around 1 million PPV buys, it makes it difficult to move him away from the UK if everyone is going to make more money in the UK and by the looks of it buy a very large amount. As with Ward he gets more stuck because he wasn't a draw, he was getting outsold in his home state by a foreigner from Kazakhstan and that was before Golovkin was really a draw himself. Also and this is where it stems from mainly. He entered the Super Six and part of his demands were that all his fights would be at home bar the final whereas every other competitor had to go on the round for at least one bout. Im that comp: Froch fought Kessler in Denmark Taylor fought Abraham in Germany Abraham fought Dirrell in the USA Dirrell fought Froch in the UK Froch fought Abraham in Finland Froch fought Johnson in USA Ward fought Kessler, Bika and Green in Oakland, Abraham in Carson and then Froch in Atlantic City, he was the home fighter in every fight even when he moved out of Oakland. Sad thing is he would have won matter less of where he fought but people saw him at home every fight and everyone else willing to go into their opponents backyard and he got stigmatised due to it.
Could be Joe Joyce, no? I don't think Eddie would get excited about a wildcard unless it's another British fighter or Klitschko.
I mean, it could be Pulev to get that mandatory out of the way before it's called for. Would make a lot of sense, because Eddie will be thinking that Wilder and Fury will probs have a rematch so to have do Pulev would get the mandatory out of the way and allow him to do the undisputed fight without any issues.
If it actually was Ward (don't believe that for a second), then he won't make it out of the 3rd. Klitschko II would be a possibility
Lol, ducker Hearn will be delighted to leave that mandatory on the back burner as another excuse to avoid Wilder in late 2019/early 2020
