To his credit Wilder does not throw until he is certain he’s going to land, he can do a number of rounds without throwing it as exemplified in his win over Ortiz when he did nothing until he saw an opportunity in round 5. Wilder is only reckless in his wild swinging when his opponent is hurt. Otherwise, he’s very patient.
The human body only reaps the benefits of altitude training for a short time. Doing a whole camp up doesn’t make sense in a scientific sense. But spending a few weeks up there and then coming back down to sea level means you get the most out of training.

Granted, one or two fights against meaningful opposition would have been useful to gauge where he's at but Unless he gassess badly like Ortiz managed too I don't see how Wilder lands significantly. The unknown variables add extra excitement though, I'll admit to not having much conviction in my prediction. I'm basing everything on Fury being able to compete for 12 rounds and still retaining his reactions and timing.
I am not saying this will happen but it has to be considered. They will not tell us purses, why not? They wanted to shame Hearn and prove they have big money (because of the AJ offer they made) they said AJ isn't the only show in town and they would do fine without him and in turn Team Wilder rejected very generous offers from Hearn so they better be making more money. There has to be basic guarantees to Wilder and Fury and probably a lot depends on PPV sales. You only have to look at ticket prices, they are expensive, why are they that expensive?surely you would sell tickets at a reasonable price, make money but pack the place and make it look a fantastic spectacle so in my opinion these over priced tickets can only be related to purses and guarantees in my opinion. They have to cover themselves if the PPV bombs, ticket sales are ridiculously poor at this point, we are month out from Christmas and the New Year so people are saving money or spending it on gifts, even the timing of this fight is poor. Anyway, if the sales continue to sag and drag then they have a decision to make, will the estimated PPV buys cover guarantees and purses and even purses for fighters on the undercard? So do they take a loss on the show or cancel it and go again in the new year in the UK where it definitely would sell better and probably do better PPV buys because it would be at a reasonable time. They won't just cancel it that will be the ultimate embarrassment, so somebody will get "injured" and they will have to do it in the new year. I'm not saying this will happen but it is a possibility if what I'm reading about sales and projected sales is correct. We've seen BJS cards cancelled because of injury amd coincidentally the sales have been poor, just saying.

Thing that saddens me about all this is that whoever loses will be called a bum and will struggle to get the AJ fight. I think these 3 could fight multiple times and we would get multiple outcomes. Shame that probably won't happen, but that's boxing I guess.
Been saying this myself since the fight was announced. Imagine claiming to be a boxing fan and not wanting to see Wilder fight Fury. It's absolutely pathetic. I don't like AJ. Never have, doubt I ever will. But I'd absolutely love to see him fight Wilder and Fury, on any part of the globe, watched by millions, because I am a boxing fan. Whoever emerges top dog is the best of the three and we all get on with it, having had the privilege to see the best of our era fight the best. Some days I like Hearn, other days I don't. It must be said though that he has created a breed of boxing 'fans' who don't want what's best for the sport, but what's best for Eddie Hearn or Anthony Joshua. It's bizarre, a tragedy actually. These people aren't boxing fans, rather more like celebrity nuthuggers, who'd be more suited watching keeping up with the Kardashians than professional boxing.

I understand Eddie acting and talking like that to a degree; but Dave from Stoke with 2 kids and a holiday to Benidorm every year being so concerned with revenue, gate numbers, PPV's numbers, splits, contracts etc etc is utterly laughable. That being said mind, I do think it's high time for a new kid on the block. Warren is clearly fighting a losing battle up against the MR juggernaught, in almost every aspect.

The age of his body is a different thing - he has abused his body which will age his physical capacity prematurely.
