Nice move by Dana and Co. I'm still gonna be watching Affliction.

    Dana is a certified *******.

I will watch Affliction - most likely live, from the floor.

It looks like they have managed to put together a decent card especially when you consider the circumstances (Short notice, spike tv etc...). This card could have been even better if they planned it earlier as they approached guys like Wand and Henderson for this event. I like how Dana says this event has nothing to do with the Affliction PPV and that he is "Giving the fans what they want. And Silva just wants to fight more".

Dana is scared of Affliction. Too bad that idiot did not sign Fedor.

I don't think it has anything to do with Dana being scared of Affliction.. why would he be? No maintstream fan even knows about the Affliction card. Even if the UFC didn't put a fight on the same night as the Affliction ppv.. Affliction would lose a ton of money.

I think its just more of a kick in the balls to Affliction. I wouldnt doubt Affliction will be "one and done" as an mma promotion.

Well you didn't see UFC put on any promotions against EliteXC or any other company. Yet now they are suddenly on the attack. I have faith in Affliction, and their card is simply much better.

They showed the "ultimate iceman" documentary and the wandy-chuck fight during the elite xc cbs card, and theres been other shows were they do similar, its not anything particular about affliction.

Apparently Brazillian MMA site Tatame are claiming that Vera was offered a fight with Machida for this event. Machida accepeted but Vera declined. You can't really blame him as its his first fight at LHW, he is coming of 2 losses and the fight is on short notice. If this is true, you got to admire Machida for willing to fight a guy like Vera on short notice.

I don't think anybody really wants to fight Machida...he's tough to look good against.

Setanta have confirmed they will be showing this card live. Just a quick question for you guys in the USA, do the UFC spike tv cards have the same start time as the UFC PPV?

True and you cant blaim Brandon Vera for turning it down the guys coming off 2 losses he basically needs to rebuild his career somewhat at 205 and get a couple nice wins first.
