I'm not feeling the love for this guy . Some knowledgeable posters have been dismissing him I feel. So..a rare Spanish guy who can box eh ?....hes beaten Gavin and Skeete. .. And is top-10 rated by ALL the ratings bodies. . .what do the think of his chances of winning a world title at 147? Or failing that.. Is there any domestic opposition that he Can Not beat?

He has brutal power but Gavin was boxing his head off early on. Gavin was controlling the range so well. A lot of KL’s hooks were very slow and telegraphed too. Gavin was barely moving in the first three rounds but was dodging everything with ease.

Domestically we aren’t really blessed atm other than Brook and Khan. KL probably takes out all of our other WWs but I doubt he wins a world title.

Lejarraga vs Josh Kelly would be a good fight to make.

According to Lou Dibela, the kid is apparently heading stateside to fight soon.

    It's 'Kerman'.

He is a one trick pony high guard hunter killer type, walks his opponents down and clubs them to death. Shouldn't be to tricky for any world level 'boxer' to work out however will always be fun viewing against cannon fodder.

Good partisan following that crowd last night was rowdy.

He’s a good addition to the 147 scene in terms of entertainment. He comes to fight, has power and is neglectful of his defence. That’s perfect against feather fisted opponents who don’t have the sting in their shots to stop him marching forward. This tactic only works up to a certain level. Ritson learned the hard way that you can’t just walk through every opponent because sooner or later you will fight someone who can absorb that power and hurt you back. The lads at the top beat him comfortably, but I’ll cheer him on anyway.

It’s the pesky autocorrect messing with my spelling..and my failing eyesight .:). Glad u commented on the noisy home crowd....rare in Europe to see that these days.

I get ur point that top level guys should “figure him out” etc...but is that doing a disservice to Gavin. For all his faults Frankie (albeit for 3 rounds ) is IMO as slick as anyone on the planet.
KL didn’t panic ...he is very solid. Not quick and slick, but very solid. No fancy stuff... shells up tight to ride out the early storm, stays confident doesn’t panic. His fights tend to be fights of two halves...him getting outboxed...followed by him crushing the opponent.

He’s very beatable but if matched correctly I can see him definitely winning a world title of some sort

I like him, bags of fun. Very much a European level guy though unless he adds some tricks to his game

I am a fan. I will get laughed at here but I think he beats Thurman, Danny Garcia and Porter. I don't think he can beat Spence or Crawford.

The guy is flat footed, but a stalker with that kind of power in both hands is always fun to watch.
Gavin is a tricky southpaw, fast on his feet... Kerman was lost at the opening rounds and not able to find his distance... until he iced Gavin with a headshot and started trading in short.

A common problem for spanish boxers is the level and variety of sparrying partners: they go out to fight and found for the first time tricky, fast guys that they are not used to. A tricky southpaw is one of those.

Was a decent fight imo....Gavin is an absolute waster though..

Not sure how far the Spaniard can go tbh..He is good to watch but i doubt he beats the top boys...He will get picked off easily when throwing them big slow wide winging hooks

After Avenysian (which is a good step up) I'd like to see Josh Kelly in with him. It won't happen though.

Josh Kelly boxes his head off but still a dangerous fight for him with the Spanish lads power. I’d love to see it but I don’t think either needs it.

I reckon early JK would box rings around him. It would be interesting to see how Kelly would fare in the later rounds, see how his stamina and concentration is against an aggressive albeit limited puncher.
