Why come AJ is not more like his fellow Countrymen Lennox Lewis, who fought EVERYONE!!!

Has Joshua retired and not told anyone?? or Should we not wait until the end of AJ's career before having this discussion?

 

Lewis didn't fight "everyone". He didn't fight Ruiz, Byrd, Wlad or Bowe (Though that wasn't his fault).

 

Also, Joshua's resume sh*ts all over Wilder's.

 

Unbelievable.

Now I'm not a fan of AJ but I will say the following in his defense:

Since turning pro a mere 6 years ago in 2013, Joshua has fought and knocked out Charles Martin, Dillian Whyte, Dominic Breazeale, Eric Molina, Carlos Takam, Wladimir Klitschko, Alexander Povetkin and won a comfortable points victory against Joseph Parker.

Comparitively, after 6 years of turning pro Lewis had recorded wins over the likes of Donovan Ruddock, Tony Tucker, Frank Bruno and Tommy Morrison.

So, if anything can be taken away from this it is this: after 6 years of turning pro both Joshua and Lewis both have/had some fairly great names recorded on their respective records and have/had both established themselves as dominant forces within the HW division at this early stage in their individual professional careers, making them more or less equal in my mind in the context of this argument.

I could even argue that Joshua has perhaps done a little better than Lewis did in his first 6 years as a pro as he hasn't been knocked out yet, whereas Lewis was knocked out by Oliver McCall during the same early period of his own pro career.

Joshua has fought everyone put in front of him so far and has a solid record. In due time, I expect that we will see him fight Wilder, Usyk and everyone else he's beeen accused of ducking. And where ducking is concerned, his last couple of recorded wins alone are enough to convince me that he isn't afraid to step in the ring with any current HW.

Not a fan of the guy but credit must be given where it's due.

 

Between Wilder and AJ, you think it's AJ who hasn't faced anyone... just when I think you cannot get any dumber...

 

Someone should do an A to Z AJ Excuse Compendium Thread for his fans to just put all the excuses in one location.

There are times when three quarters of the threads on ESB are AJ excuse threads by his terrified fans.

 

Because AJ is money mad, that's why.

He will happily face Whyte next, fight Miller and then rematch Parker. Easy money for him.

He is one the same wavelength as Eddie when it comes to keeping the gravy train going.

 

AJ and Wilder's resumes are on par with each others.

seven of the accomplishments you mention are only two fighters, both around forty.

 

Because he's not as good as Lewis!

To be honest I would 100% bet on Joshua to win, who has fought much better competition. The only worry is a chance of a Wilder haymaker. However Joshuas superior fundamentals should see him though. And he can crack himself.
