Genuine question. I personally love to watch Fury fight. His skills are second to none in the heavyweight division. His movement for his size is abnormal. He's made good fighters like Hammer and Chisora look like novices. He completely immobilized the attack of Wladimir Klitschko. I enjoy that. Just as I enjoyed watching Rigondeaux and Floyd Mayweather.

This thread isn't about resume, ability or personality. It's simply whether or not you find Fury boring in the ring at his best. Not how casuals may perceive him or anything like that. It's simply about your opinion. I won't debate for or against, I'd just like to see the outcome of the poll.

    Cheers.

Mentioning Mayweather is an interesting one. Lets not pretend that the reason Mayweather became the biggest PPV attraction of all time was because the guy in the street simply cannot get enough of welterweights who typically always win by clear UD, score very few knockdowns, are never knocked down themselves and rarely get involved in anything approaching a war. He became that because people will pay to see cocky, money-obsessed guys like that lose.

There's a market for Fury to fill that as a heavyweight in the UK at least. But for a country who typically saw big viewing figures for boxers who were generally exciting to watch, (like or loathe them, Benn, Eubank, Bruno, Hamed, Hatton, Calzaghe, Khan, Haye, Froch and Joshua are probably the biggest domestic names of the last three decades and all were in plenty of thrillers), Fury doesn't really have a comparable style. He's effective, but he's defensive, demonstrates little power for a man of his size, and personally I find him quite boring.

Similar to yourself I find his style enjoyable to watch, obviously when he’s fighting cannon fodder it can become a bit boring but against higher level fighters it’s good to see him take away their offence with his movement and keeping them at range with the jab.

His fight v Wlad Klit was the worst I have ever watched and I attended Danny Williams v Big Fraudley at the Excel Arena so I know a stinker when I see it.

I did watch him at Wembley in 2011 against Dull Boy Pakora and that was a decent fight although Dull Boy was a fat pudding that night.

People reasonably expect Heavyweights to deliver big punches, particularly if they make big noises pre fight to KO someone.

Unfortunately up to now, Fury and Toe Haye appear to be 2 cheeks of the same arris.

    Ummm
    Hatton fan appreciating
    Movement
    Footwork
    Switch hitting
    Defense
    Ummmmmm
Hatton would draw the curtains on this style and add to the fact he does not attract huge numbers
    Uuuummmmm

But I thought wickys high energy all out attack body shots was really exciting

    Seems suspect

I've watched it several times myself and love it. Wouldn't get bored of it. Tyson's head movement and footwork is elite. He didn't stop moving for one second of the fight. Each to their own but that's great boxing for me, even if his punch output wasn't high. The calibre of opponent (WK) is what that fight is all about. People seem to ignore that.

Tricky - depends who he’s fighting - I think he can be a bit boring to watch but in big fights the tension helps make it captivating. Likewise a lot of his earlier fights were exciting when he was clumsier and got knocked down occasionally...the recent fights have been dull...powder puff punching, glorified sparring...

Fury is OK but If I'm looking to watch finesse I'd rather watch Mayweather, Sweet Pea, Loma etc. I think plenty of fighters fight in a similar manor but in a more entertaining fashion. Even Rigo, his performance against Donaire was incredible, he was defensively sound but was also picking hard shots like a surgeon, that is my example of a boxing lesson.

But to answer the question, I can watch Fury and appreciate his style, especially as a heavyweight.

Its fine to appreciate skill yet finding his fights dull.

I won't be paying for this. The only fury fight I would pay for is v Joshua at Wembley for all the belts as that would be more of a event

I don’t particularly enjoy watching him from an entertainment perspective, but I can appreciate some of his skills.

I've watched the Fury/Wlad fight about 6 times. So that alone answers your question!
