If Fury outboxes Wilder for 12 rounds, would you favor him over AJ?

If Fury outboxes Wilder for 12 rounds I would favor him to lose by MD, I don't expect much fairness from the judges in US anymore lately it's become worse than the good old German judging :(

I'm hoping Wilder wins this fight but would rather see him losing than winning by the usual home-favorite/cashcow robbery that's become the norm in big fights.

If Fury hits him with a left hook out of southpaw stance he's going to hurt Wilder....don't be shocked if it's the southpaw left hook that becomes Wilder s down fall , the beginning of the end.

I actually give Fury more chance vs AJ than against Wilder, AJ is more robotic, similar to Wlad. Fury could exploit that. Whereas Wilder is wild and unpredictable.

While AJ may be the stronger overall fighter compared to Wilder, I think Fury would have an easier time with AJ.

I take it many here haven't seen Wilder fight?

Wilder is careless and exposes himself to counters. He's been outboxed before until his windmill saved him. So yea, Fury cold box his ear of Saturday but that doesn't mean he does the same to AJ. Two completely different fighter and style.

Nope. The one thing has absolutely naught to do with the other. Wilder and Joshua have as little in common stylistically as either does with Fury.

Why, though? What does being able to outbox Wilder have to do with taking on Joshua?

It is the two fights he won to get to Joshua. Klitchko originally before Joshua beat him and Wilder. If he an beat those two then I would say it is pickem to beat Joshua. Beating Wilder would be huge for Fury's reputation.

Okay but, with all due respect, analytically you have literally just said nothing. Like, zero points made. Other than "it would be impressive on paper to have beaten Klitschko and Wilder", for what possible reason would you go from not favoring him over Joshua to suddenly doing so, just for managing to successfully outbox Wilder for twelve rounds (which it goes without saying he can do if he simply avoids being KTFO, as hardly anybody expects Wilder to win on points)?

I thought it speaks for itself. The question for most people is about Fury's inactivity. I think Joshua is better than Wilder yet probably not better than the Klitchko whom Fury beat. The question about anyone who fights Wilder is can they take his right hand and fast punches. Which tells you that I think the 2015 Klitchko is better than the one Joshua beat. Beating Wilder would demonstrate that Fury is back to the form which made it possible for him to beat Klitchko as well as his size. And that form with the feints and reach and speed of Fury with clinching an it could very well beat Joshua if he is still sharp and elite, and that would be proven if he could avoid the unpredictable punches of Wilder and the speed. It is a test. And if he passes he will be pickem against Joshua maybe even a favorite. I think he is going to knock out Wilder.
Beating Wilder will prove everything needed for a win against Joshua. And I would pick Joshua against Wilder. I think he is too big. As a matter fact that is why I think Fury could stop Wilder. Wilder chin is suspect and Fury is a big guy. I am curious to see what he weighs. Stylewise Joshua in someway looks easier for Fury's style than Wilder does.

I kinda agree here too. Wilder lacks in body shots, though he will use them at times. Against a taller opponent he SHOULD use these shots, set up by jabs as well. We will see what kinda strategy he has in plan I suppose...

It's interesting that allot of other people in this thread are also seeing this the same way I do. I have said for months that Wilder is all wrong for Fury and I see Wilder stopping Fury. Fury however would be a much harder fight for AJ than Wilder would be. I think AJ will beat Wilder convincingly, but would likely lose to Fury.

    Styles DO make fights.

IF Tyson does win on Saturday, then I will be amazed. Also, he would deserve massive recognition if he beats Wilder, it would be one hell of a comeback for sure.
