Well, at least we could hope for that (that he would let loose in the final rounds). What if he will never even try to hit his opponents hard in the future and will be just fine with earning points?
I don't wish ill to anyone, even someone like him who has done some truly terrible things in his past, some of which are just unforgivable. I hope he pulls through, but I doubt many will be shedding a tear for him should he not, I definitely won't.
It certainly affected Emile Friffith, Mancini and Eubank (as they admitted). Other ones like Kov, Pintor, Benn, who knows. I get the tiger instinct but you have to lack a soul to not let something like this affect you to a certain degree.
It's possible but I would be surprised if that were the case. He comes across as a gentleman but IIRC from a few of the Ukrainian interviews I've seen of his on YT (with English subs) he used to be a bouncer and has his share of street fights and he's got a real steely side to him that you wouldn't expect judging from how he comes across when speaking English.
Don't know anything about him personally but hope he's OK too and it doesn't affect him too much in the ring. Perez was never the same after Mago
I hope he pulls through. I hate to see things like this. That last shot where the back of his head bounced off the post was nasty.
Mago vs Perez was really upsetting to watch. I have this image of Mago smiling in his dressing room before the fight ingrained in my memory and it's horrible to compare that to his current condition.
Karma coming to bite him. I usually try and remain impartial however this dude was scum. Imagine those girls were your daughters or sisters, I've never disliked a fighter more than I disliked stevenson.
