He definitely wasn’t 100%. I would say he was about 70%. As predicted his legs started to slow down in the later rounds and this cost him in the 9th when Wilder bum rushed him, and in the 12th when he got greedy not able to react to a standard Wilder right hand.
I just hope he keeps his head screwed on and doesn't let himself go again. If he can beat Wilder in a rematch then the world is at his feet again.
for sure his time out of the ring he didnt keep 100% concentration as he took a shot he normally would of saw coming. I just think he wasnt "match-sharp" it takes a LOT of concentration when your facing a puncher, but he still did enough to win.
If 100% means as good as he was against Klitschko, then no. If 100% means getting in as good of shape as possible following Pianeta, then I'd say yes.
I would guess about 80 percent. If he stays in shape and continues training then I've no doubt he can be even a little sharper than he was. I'm still shocked by the whole thing to be honest. A terrific comeback.
Fury never has and never will been 100%,however I take him at his word that he was in the best shape he has ever been in.It would have been easy to hide behind the well documented problems he's had and say he did this at 50%.That said I think there is more to come if he lives the life over the coming months.Let's also givery Wilder credit though. For all his missespecially, he applied himself, eventually found the target and took some shots himself.Great fight and great for boxing apart from the scorecards.
I believe it impossible that he could have been at 100% of his full potential with just 9 weeks of training after months of extreme weight loss (let's not forgetting ring rust, also). I would say that his team made him close to 100% effectiveness given what he could have realistically achieved within the time frame and team Fury were banking on that being enough to beat Wilder. Fury and his training team done a remarkable job.
i laughed when Hearn let him miss out on the Wlad fight. I said I bet you wish you asked tough questions now. I actually like IFL!
