The Khan who fought Maidana may have been competetive against Crawford. That was Khan's prime, when he was young and hungry, with Roach and Ariza training him. When he was a huge light welterweight. I still pick Crawford to beat any version of Khan obviously.

That fighter is long gone however. The current version has no hunger, no trainer he respects having blamed all the others for his shortcomings, a ring IQ as bad as ever with the same being said for his chin.

As I stated already, Crawford within six.

 

Only Khan could get stick for fighting a guy in top 3 P4P...I wonder why?

 

A rumoured $5M to fight for world championship where even if he gets beat people will shrug and say it was against a top fighter I would say is a win win for Khan . He figures if he loses the Brook fight would still hold up as a pension pot top up! I think it's pretty clear what Amir will do and how can you blame him ?

 

As much as people don't want to admit it, Khan is still a bigger name worldwide, he's headlined 4-6 Vegas cards and love or hate him you know you're guaranteed entertainment, Brook still his whole career fighting no-ones, struggling against Carson Jones and then taking money against GGG and getting killed in the process.

 

Khan has no desire to lose to Brook simple. He rather get KO'ed against others then be humiliated to another UK fighter. What he really wants is for brook to say i will take the fight at 145, hydration clause next day and 1hr before the fight!! then Khan will jump at the chance to fight. Basically as a fighter deep down you just KNOW when another fighter is better and can beat you.

 

The crawford fight doesn't interest me that much cause he has no chance, would've been more interested in a thurman fight as he would at least have a better chance with thurman coming back from long time out etc.

stuff these 2 guys, really boring now like. It's mostly Khan being scared but Brooks just looking like a plank now running about when he should just move on to 154. its just money money money with these guys now, yawnsville for the fans!

 

If he gets the right game plan he has a good chance of pulling it off

Khan has no chance against Crawford,Spence,Thurman,Garcia or Brook.He is effectively choosing who to get knocked out by at this stage.Not quite sure what he's done to merit a shot at a title either,so Brook should be the fight,but as we all know that isn't going to happen.

 

Would love Khan to beat Crawford. He has been in some great fights and although some of his behaviour outside the ring has been questionable, he has always giving it his all in the ring. I respect that.

People quick to blame him for the Brook fight not happening but who knows what really is going on behind the scenes.

Everyone has jumped on the Khan hate wagon but i like him...imagine if he fought Crawford and beat him...this forum would go into a meltdown lmao!

 

What's he doing. Brook v khan would still be huge after the matchroom hype got underway. The hard works already done. Its the logical fight to get made.

He runs off to take a fight with a guy that will beat him without too much trouble. A guy no ones asking for him to fight. He's pretty much an opponent in that fight. Go in...get beat...get paid.
Theres more money for a brook fight. More chance of winning. And much bigger profile fight waiting for him. You can't really work out the thinking with khan. Brook better just move on completely now. Its ruined his career as much as mayweather ruined khans. What's with these guys. Its the time of opportunity here in Britain guys like bellew, whyte, chisora, fury, joshua etc all have had great nights giving the opportunity. Some guys turning it all around from being hated off the back of one fight to being loved. Khans still acting like a moron. Terence Crawford will beat him without too much trouble.

 

I genuinely fear that one more KO and Khan is going to have serious trouble long term. Every fight is a war. Anyone with a punch and several without take him off his feet. I mean Vargas had him badly shaken more than once.
I thought Khan Brook was going to happen this time but it clearly isn't. Khan has about 2 - 3 fights left its OK being an opponent for the elite fo a a time but hes going in with guys he can't match and he doesn't have the chin to stand up to it.
It's time to retire seriously his last top tier win was 4 years ago

 

Khan doesnt want to give Brook a payday. I dont blame him, he doesnt owe Brook F all. Go for the Crawford fight.

If I was him, after the crawford fight, I'd advertise my retirement fight vs prescott (call it "redemption") and put it in a high pakistani population area like in manchester or birmingham.

then retire with £7-10 million from the two fights.

that place in birmingham was packed for his last fight. brook sadly doesn't have the fan base.

 

I'm a Brook fan and I also can't be doing with Khan, but I don't blame Khan for choosing Crawford.

The best thing Brook can do is ignore Khan and try and win a world title himself, perhaps a Porter rematch, and then invite Khan back to the table after Crawford has chin-checked him.
