He has been very effective at around 230lb before. I can only see benefits for him tbh.

Don't think it would really benefit him vs Joshua, however much he bulks up he's still going to be outweighed and over powered on the inside vs the much bigger and stronger Joshua. Wilder remember competed at the Olympics at heavyweight not super heavyweight, he was basically a crusierweight before turning pro.

Wilder's time would best be spent improving his boxing skills as that's what will cost him vs Joshua. He can't out box Joshua, who will out jab him and counter his big telegraphed right hand and he can't stand toe to toe with Joshua and trade as he'll get over powered and manhandled.

He definitely need to improve his finishing skills, he gets so wild with his shots with those wide, crazy swings. Fury showed how easy it is to evade them and how easy it is to step inside and clinch him when Wilder's punches get wild. Wilder is literally inviting the clinch with how he throws, arms out, squared up, you just have to step inside his long arms and you've got him. Fury also showed how easy it is to counter him down the middle when Wilder get's wild, Joshua in the same position doesn't just hurt Wilder, he drops Wilder.

Well AJ appears to have the full backing of the GB PED programme so he needs to up his game should they meet.

The truth is. People are just jealous of Deontay's lean physique. The bodybuilder Joshua dreams of having a body fat percentage as low as Wilders. But he can't, because he's just a undisciplined big stiff.

I'm not trying to discredit or disparage him, though I see how you've drawn that conclusion. As I said above that, he is a good fighter with a great spirit. I'm just being realistic in where he stands and how far I think he can go career wise. Among the current HWs, it's very hard to argue that he's anything but top 3. He's good. He's scary. He's beatable. All three of them are beatable.

Wilder, overall, is good for boxing. He draws in a lot of fight fans that otherwise might not care to watch the sport, because there's always that potential that he can drop someone in a very stylish fashion. He's very entertaining in a sport that has a reputation for being boring compared to the likes of MMA. It's really hard to discredit him in the ring. I think it's more his persona outside of the ring that damages his popularity and reputation.

One look at Wilders ankles tells you he will never be a big guy. He is naturally slim and has more of a basketball player physique. He needs to take the AJ fight for one last payday.

Anyone doubting Wilders power is clueless. Guy hits like a monster from the first bell to the last. It's impressive the power he still carried in the 12th.

Fury is an excellent boxer, Wilder landed clean twice. He put Fury down both times
