Now, Johnson is a much more experienced fighter and he learned from his previous mistakes. He will just take a dive in the first round against Hrzegovic. It's much easier to collect a paycheck this way. Why take a beating for 12 rounds if you can just drop to the floor in the first.
If he does that he'll stop being used as a safe step up for prospects. Johnson is durable and is used to take fighters rounds, if he just folds quickly that could hurt his prospects for getting these type of fights which will be his best pay days now.
Milas stopped him on a cut, Johnson would of likely gone the distance again had it not been for the doctor calling it off. So even if Hrgovic gets taken the distance it's not that bad. Joshua is still the only guy to genuinely stop Johnson.
Bit of a pointless fight for Hrgovic who has great potential. He should be aim for top 20 opponents, not a well past it pudding.
Hrgovic has only had 6 fights he shouldn't be aiming for top 20 guys just yet. I think someone like Johnson who is durable and cagey for a prospect in their 7th fight is pretty damn decent. Joshua in comparison fought him in his 13th fight.
Joshua fought him a long time ago when Johnson was half decent. I just think i's a waste of time for Hrgovic after an impressive ko of Mansour.
He's declined a bit since Joshua which was 3.5 years ago, but even when Joshua fought him he was seen as faded like he is now. When Joshua fought him he'd lost 4 out of his last 5 fights and lost his last 3 in a row, he was hardly seen as a threat then either. If it was seen as an OK fight for Joshua at 12-0, I don't see much difference now that he's fighting a guy 6-0.
