    Impressive again.

His body shots are excruciating and he’s had a very good year. Done a better job than the much maligned Munguia on Paz, Gabor Gorbics whom he KO’d in 5 last time out has just went the distance with Spike so it shows what level he’s operating at.

Fitzgerald next then winner takes Cheeseman so Eddie says. Two excellent fights next year for him, him vs Cheeseman will be an absolute war and I make Fowler the favourite at this point.

    Big 2019 for him.

Fowler looks a lot stronger and heavier handed than Cheeseman. Even if Cheeseman was to get on top in the early rounds of the fight, then I would expect Fowler to break him down and stop him late. There is a strength and power differential between the two. But it will be a great all out war.

The only problem with Fowler is he’s open to a lot of shots but he seems to have a great chin. He’s a carbon copy of Carl Froch for me. I think he might take losses on the way or when he gets there but definitely will end up at the top.

I like watching Fowler I agree with scissors think he will go all th way but I reckon he will have a few Ls on the way

Think he take Fitzgerald out early and then just with the they way he spoke about cheeseman I think he wants to just box the head off him to prove his level

I never understand what the call is to rush these fighters along. I think he is progresing at a perfect pace for his first 10 fights. People say the likes of Fowler, Buatsi and Kelly fight cans but besides Lomachenko and Usyk not many fighters get moved along so rapidly Hurd didnt fight anyone with a winning record until his 9th fight. Fowler, Fitzgerald and then Cheeseman are great fights for all three of those guys to take at this stage.

Agreed but it would not have made much difference if it was announced 8 weeks ago. The guy was brought in as an opponent to allow fowler experience in the pro ranks. Not Fowlers fault it was announced so late and he tok him out in a round. Some on here seem to want to throw him in with word level opperator's after 5 fights. I am sure they could have thrown him in with the likes of Brandon Rios within 10 fights, but Rios would want mega money or it makes no sense in him fighting a novice. You have to build a record in boxing and a name and get yourself up the rankings. Throwing him in with Fitzgerald and cheesman next is moving him along quickly and how he should be moved along. The only reason people get annoyed is that its on Sky. Which i get and understand but matchroom are using these fights to try to build hype.

You say you need to build a name up in boxing which is true, but you can't get away with trying to do that fighting cans on days notice who you take out in a round! Fans not buying it anymore and what doesn't he learn fightin for 1 round? Is he gaining any experience? Genuinely think the tide has turned and people don't care as much about 0's as long as your in real fights

I agree with that but fighters do seem to not want to take risks against novices. You only have to look at Joe Joyce he is happy to take the top fightes immediately but no one will fight him as they say he has not earnt it. Only way therefore gets those fights is for a mandatory or paying opponents through the roof which you can only do if you are a major draw yourself ala Joshua's rise.

Fowler vs Cheeseman is a potential FOTY

Both have turned out better than expected IMO

Impressive so far, seems to have a good workmanlike attitude which I also like.
As others have said, Fowler V Cheeseman would be brutal war- I hope Eddie can pay both well for that.

Not overly impressed, personally. That dude he beat had how many days notice? Fitzgerald and then Cheeseman, please. I think he's a little robotic personally and not sure how well he'll fight on the backfoot but he's obviously going to have plenty of time before he gets to world level (assuming he does) so he can iron that out

Never been impressed but he did a lot as an amateur so clearly is good

Think he’ll be exposed badly as soon as he faces someone who can box on the backfoot
