Why does Whyte not get the respect he deserves

Odd post, isn't it? Anyone critical of Whyte must be economically poor (not that there is anything wrong with that), overweight (not that there's anything wrong with that) and a loser (we're all adults on an internet forum; I don't think anyone has a leg to stand on in that regard)

 

The ignorance of this post made me chuckle. Quality.

 

So basically, you didn't assess the demographic and just assumed that anyone who doesn't love Whyte as much as you is "fat bellied? Underachievers? Negative by default? Couch Potatoes? Never got anywhere with physical sports? Or even education? Low paying jobs?

Come on man, you was debating this subject sensibly before you come out with this rubbish. You can't be calling us low IQ and then come out with this

 

Whyte is a very good heavyweight and an impressive contender that should have been given his opportunity by now. He is also a very effective body puncher, and in my opinion has the most variable punches in the heavyweight division. However that being said, Whyte has shown many times that he struggles to box on the back foot. This was seen within the Joshua fight, the Parker fight and also the chisora fight, leading him to be hurt and in the AJ fight actually knocked out cold. But he is formidable once establishing the jab, maintaining the centre of the ring and putting together punches as was evident within the Browne bout. However the top 4 heavyweights (Fury, Wilder, Joshua and Ortiz) to me would all neutralise him due to his lack of finesse, head movement, footwork and ring IQ. He saw success against Joshua when coming forward and targeting the body leading to Joshua abondening his jab enabling him to catch AJ within the exchange of punches with ‘catch and shoot’ but that (in boxing terms) was a long time ago and Joshua would establish centre ring dominace behind the jab and knock him out in under five.
I’ve listed why I think he loses to these fighters individually, any response is welcomed!

Joshua: I think that Joshua has come on leaps and bounds and the only way for Whyte to win is to catch him in the exchange applying the ‘catch and shoot’ method. However if Joshua choses to keep him on the end of his jab and maintains the centre of the ring with distance Whyte can be easily picked off due to his lacking of fundamentals Within the feet to get away and neutralise Joshua’s attack. It was far too easy for Parker and Chisora to reduce the distance between them and this may cause problems in the rematch against chisora

Wilder: This is a similar story, in my opinion to beat wilder one would need to be that of a superior boxer (mayweather like) a little like Fury in fact. Something that can move, evade and make wilder think. As when he has to think, that’s when he becomes undone haha like we seen within fury. To me, whyte is hittable, he will be unable to maintain the distance between the two and it is shown that he can be hurt by much lesser of power. Therefore Wilder will land and he will put Whyte to sleep. InfactWilder has a superior jab to whyte as well as reach. Therefore Whyte would need to close that distance down and if Wilder is using the Jab I think it will be similar to his Ortiz bout where he caught Ortiz coming in with a right hand .

Fury:
Far too awkward for Whyte, as well as being taller, heavier and a superior boxer/mover. To beat fury one must be able to box at short, long and medium range whilst containing a very powerful punch and have evasive head movement whilst cutting off the ring effectively. Whyte in this case can box at these distances however not on this level, also I do not believe he possesses the power in which to knock Fury out. Therefore to me it would be a very easy points decision to Fury.

Ortiz: I believe this would be a great match up, one in which Whyte’s notorious body punching would come into play. There are instances where I see whyte could win this fight, however it is hard. Ortiz is a very, and I mean very good boxer with plenty of strength and power. If whyte can target the body and chop away at the tree of an old man then he could most definetly win. However ortiz’s superior head movement and footwork would cause problems for whyte and the bout may actually contain plenty of action from the start. But I think ortiz’s ring IQ and fundamentals would be far superior to whyte’s and he would be eventually be stopped.[/QUOTE]

It's likely they are economically poor for hating on someone else's achivements. I see it ALL DAYY... people sit on their arses defeated... because they ****ed up somewhere along their lives and didn't reach the level of success they should have and so they resent themselves and hate other people's success.

THERE IS NO SITUATION WHERE IT IS OK TO HATE ON SOMEONE ELSE'S SUCCESS UNLESS THEY DEAL DRUGS OR DO ILLEGAL ACTIVITY OR STOLE THEIR SUCCESS FROM SOMEONE ELSE.

Seeing as Dillian hasn't done any of the above and has kept himself clean and honest I can only surmise that people hate him for no justifiable reason except that his personality rubs them off the wrong what which is THEIR PROBLEM not Dillians.

You're misusing the word "hate" to suit what you're saying. i don't hate him, i just don't rate him and explained why. It wasn't exactly "he's just a fat bum" was it? It's not for "no reason", as this whole thread asks why he's not getting the respect he "deserves". So that rules out your "by default, you have a low IQ" theory.

No, i think you'll find the fans wanted Ortiz, but he chose Chisora instead.

how on earth is it prejudicial to not rate a win over a man who had just been KO'd by Chisora and who could barely move, or a win against a man who has looked average at best in every fight at world level? That's completely contradictory.

I don't even know what you mean by this, why didn't you bother elaborating.

So you can't give praise to specific people? You can praise anyone... you can praise a child that doesn't cry and scream every few minutes.... they don't have to have won a nobel prize to be praised.

not easy to infer, the only reason to think i hate him, is that i didn't compliment him.

because one is a former unified world champion, the other is a current champ, and they both proved their mettle in a fight at the very top level...how can you compare giving them praise for that, and praising Whyte for beating Browne & Parker?

There's just something about Whyte that rubs some people up the wrong way. I think it's probably a consequence of not looking like the most polished fighter. His fights tend to be messy which is great for casuals, but not particularly popular among boxing purists.

I like Whyte though, and I believe that Whyte and Miller are two boxers who have been doing more than most to earn a World title shot, which is funny considering that Whyte's past rivalry with AJ, and Miller's nationality, combined with both being signed to Matchroom would guarantee both a shot at AJ eventually, regardless of what they do.

 

Because I didn't compare praise for wilder v fury to Whyte.

I gave praise to each one them, individually, because all their stories and attributes are completelly different!

You are deflecting the topic here..... originally I couldn't understand why Whyte wasn't getting some praise or respect for his PERSONAL and professional achievements in the sport. Majority here were dismissive and not rating him without giving any REAL REASON.

Here's how I give praise:

Fury beat Wlad, won a title, came back from depression, and a two year layoff to beat a highly active, competitive champion in Deontay... after having lost 150 pounds of wieght which is VERY TAXING ON THE HUMAN BODY = PRAISE

Wilder has 39 ko's and zero defeats, most of them might be cans, byt that's still an achievement..... in the heavies anyone can get knocked out so I praise hi chin, he's punch power... he's hunger and determination to stay aat the top, and fight for over 10 years and not turn to drugs or quit. = PRAISE

I already praised Dillian not gonna repeat myself = PRAISE

I have no reason to hate Wilder, Fury or Whyte. I HATE the corrupt judging that robbed Fury on the cards in Wilder v Fury because it ****ed up someones career and efforts.
