Yep, I suspected it would do a little bit better, but I was wrong.

Glasser is reporting the real number as 278k.

Not a much different number. Either way, it hardly puts them in a good position regarding AJ negotiations leverage-wise at the moment.

However, a potential rematch would do significantly better numbers. Not to mention that Fury is back in the picture now. Will be interesting to watch the situation unfold. :cool1:

Still more as I expected for something that overpriced.

    A rematch would double that.

Has a rematch ever brought in higher numbers than the 1st fight?

Holyfield-Tyson II had more buys than Holyfield-Tyson I.

Holyfield-Bowe II had more buys than Holyfield-Bowe I.

    The list goes on.

Is Glasser the guy who always "reports" less than everyone else?

Gatti-Ward II and III, Barrera-Morales II and III, pretty much all the fights that were really good and people wanted a sequel. The Pacquiao Marquez numbers went up each time but IV had a little less than III.

Yeah. He does it a lot. Even when the numbers aren't disputed he likes to make odd claims. He said Mayweather-Guerrero lost money despite the 830k+ ppvs.

It did become rather odd at one point. And then he was proven wrong with the Canelo-Khan fight.

    Jones-Tarver.
Not only did the PPV numbers go up, the live gates did as well. First fight had under 10k in attendance, third had 20k.
