I regularly have Delia Smith's root vegetable soup (No, I'm not a Norwich City fan!) and have it cold straight from the fridge because I can't be bothered heating it up. I reckon if Sugar Ray Robinson had some cold Delia Smith's root vegetable soup after the Maxim fight he would have been up and about the next morning calling for a rematch!
Pedialyte is what we always used, but there are probably better rehydration liquids on the internet today. Same day weigh ins are tough with cutting liquid it takes the body a good amount of time to rehydrate. In the nationals when you weigh in , in the morning and fight at night you have more time but if it is a show and you only have a few hours it is tough
