Of course Rocky was a cherry pick. And acceptable too, he held a belt and after 2 fights back to back with Golovkin he’s allowed an easier night.

I’ve not seen the fight, but this was always going to be an early night, and Rocky’s ONLY chance was to try and really hurt Canelo early....and even then, if Golovkin couldn’t do it, neither was Rocky likely to.

Rocky would never in a million years have the footwork and distance control to box behind a jab, and keep a Canelo off him.
Canelo was always going to attack the body, he always does and Rocky has a long body.
Canelo is the best body puncher I can think of.

If Moore told Rocky to really go after Canelo, why not, he had no other way to win but flush knock out.

“He had a belt bruv, ergo an acceptable cherry pick”

Yeah why not drag Zelenoff up to 68 next, he has at least one belt and is far more well known than fielding

He told him to do the exact opposite of what he was doing.

I can tell you are a complete Peni5, so will keep it short.
Rocky was a world champion, Canelo wanted to be a 3 weight champ, and knee Rocky negotiations would be easy, and the fight likewise.
Now I’m sure you’ve got pants to sniff, so won’t keep you.

Nothing wrong with Jaime’s tactics at all, he had a elite fighter in the opposite corner, JM is a fine coach and shoulders no blame, if someone is simply better that’s what it is, similar to Crawford v burns

This. People can say what they want but there are levels to boxing. Canelo is clearly on higher level. Nothing but respect for Rocky taking this fight and earning himself a nice paycheck.

It's not hard. Canelo wanted that belt, 3 weight champ. Rocky at 31 wanted and deserved a big payday. Respect for that. Boxing is about levels and Canelo is several above. Moore did nothing wrong.
Best of luck to Rocky in his future fights.

Billy the tactics was shocking I agree Rocky was on a loser whatever the tactics but you must use your fighters advantages which in Rocks case were Size, Reach and Weight to give your fighter the best chance of winning, I also question Rockys desire you don’t go down and smile unless you don’t give a ffff**** and Jamie should of spotted that and give Rocky a bollocking in the corner imo

Judge1- break it down for the rest of us mortals and explain how rocky could have used his size and weight advantage to effect.

Rocky could of tried to keep it long with more movement and when Canelo got on the inside Rocky should of leaned on him with his weight advantage I know it’s easier said than done, my question is why give up what advantages you have I just don’t get it and surely that was Jamie’s job to instill that into Rocky

Plenty of fighters smile when they hit the canvas. for 99% of them it's front, they don't want to be there.... Size, reach, yeah but there was a 10lb clause in the weight. Because your reach is 4 inches longer and your 4 ins taller it don't make much odds if the bloke you are fighting is much faster, has better feet, punch selection, better all round by several levels. It's never gonna be enough. Whatever tactics Rocky used he was never going to keep Canelo off of him.

Maybe in be heat of battle and with Canelo up in weight. In such match ups its as big as ask for the trainer as the fighter.

Perhaps when it's more of a level playing field. Rocky's jabs were having no effect and Canelo works his way inside so elegantly. In regards to Moore at the end of round 2, It was clear that Rocky wasn't seeing another round and he did what he could to motivate him. Personally think you're being abit harsh here mate.
