Give this man credit for spending days upon days analysing fights and giving us fans the actual and accurate punch stats, he points out things like eye pokes with thumbs etc.

I know, haters will point out that the video was made by a biased hater of Canelo but I choose to trust him over compubox thank you very much and I did count punches on GGG Canelo 1 last year and had similar numbers to Artorias. His Fury vs Wilder vid was very well put together as well.

 

70% of fans know that. GGG won both fights and that was past prime GGG.

 

Not a fan of punch stats and in any case we all know what we viewing,Canelo was brilliant and still lost by a round imo.
Seen a thing on Rogan with Teddy Atlas who tried to educate about having a really top class jab like Golovkin so in this case they were debating about how many decent punches in a round would rule out the relentless scoring jabs? Rogan said something like one in twenty which was silly but they both agreed that it takes quite a lot to out score GGG and it’s just funny how Canelos fans have convinced themselves that this no longer applies,simply because Canelo doesn’t have or use the jab as much as a Golovkin or Mayweather.

If one guy keeps repeatedly sticking that jab in his opponents face it’s because he can’t defend or stop it,though he probably saw it as the lesser of two evils,Golovkin must of thought that doing the opposite of the first fight would get him the decision.

I’d say 70% is a little low,still a general consensus though which proves we ain’t going mad lol.

Punch stats don’t win fights, Canelo consistently landed the more meaningful punches and did more damage. Clear Canelo win, like the first was a clear win for GGG.

The punches landed don't matter. Canelo was coming forward.

 

GGG landed something like 70-80 more punches to the head than Canelo, the body work of Canelo did nothing so It'd say in this case head shots were the meaningful punches and GGG almost had Canelo down twice, the straight right in round 10 and uppercut in round 12 were the biggest punches landed in the whole fight.
