OK to clarify: I don't really feel that way. But I don't think "power shots" to the body are better than straight punches to the face.
If you`re better than your opponent you should work out how to avoid body shots, shows great defense.
yeah we do. It has worked well for boxing. The problem is social media and all that today. people who don't like a decision and moan about it and act like there is something odd going on. Before we didn't like it and that was just too bad.
If you think that punch count can prove that anyone won or lost, then you have no freaking idea about boxing.
I totally agree!! That's why I'm wondering if a layman can do a much better job than them, why isn't a professional punch count mandatory with big fights. A thorough analysis could deflate all these debates and the controversy...
GGG landed more jabs AND more power punches to the head. Canelo threw alot of body shots, but it's very hard to tell if they were landed, some of them were blocked and some were def. low. But G is no Kovalev, so he didn't complain and kept fighting. Great fight, GGG won in my book, but I won't call it a robbery like the first one.
