I hate to say it but he got exposed He lost to an inactive Korobov He’s food for the top guys at 160 Jacobs beats him hands down
Canelo got exposed against Lara, GGG got exposed against Kell Brook, Danny Jacobs got exposed against Pirog. Can't expect every fighter to have a perfect performance.
Korobov is not even on the same planet as Lara, Brook and Pirog. Those guys are elite fighters. Korobov is levels below. Not one level, but two. And I'm sorry, Brook didn't expose GGG. Brook just gave the likes of Jacobs and Canelo a little bit of hope, that's all.
Jermall has been exposed point blank You should see his fans comments on YouTube “Charlo isn’t ready for Canelo, GGG or Jacobs” Charlo lost his boogeyman status with this fight. Korobov made him look real bad here. He lost the fight man and was awarded a terrible robbery. This isn’t me hating I like Charlo but just keeping it real he got exposed bad here and he gets mopped by the top guys at 160
Korobov is an awkward southpaw counter puncher. He could make a lot of guys look bad. Peter Quilin gave up a belt to avoid him.
He got exposed by Korobov, the same way that Trout exposed him. Interesting how some of the reactions are different depending on where the exposing fighter is from. Charlo is a big bull, strong, and can take a punch. His ring IQ is average though, and he seems to have little infighting ability. He would benefit from leaving Shields, and going to train in Philly. Learn some craftyness on the inside, and learn how to think in the ring. There is no way, that he should be clinching, and not working on the inside, as big and mean as he tries to act. He gets on the inside and is content to tie up. He has broad shoulders, but his arms don't seem that long to me. He had trouble getting that jab all the way to the target much of the night. I was thinking that Charlo would own Jacobs. I don't think so anymore. Jacobs can switch hit, and also use his legs. I can see him having success against Charlo, especially if there is VADA testing for the bout.
Was a close fight vs a tough opponent. IMO a close Charlo win is OK here. Like I said in the past Jermall isn't really tested at top at MW. He might get the Golovkin or Canelo fight now but IMO this isn't the right fight at this point for Charlo (and for Golovkin either). Guy's like Jacobs, GGG and mabye even Derevyanchenko are more deserving contenders for Canelo at this point.
No he wasn't. he fought a very good olympic medalist who was in great shape, had a huge edge in experience and fought the fight of his life. Charlo is not great but he is a lion and he did a good job. I could see certain judges giving the fight to Korobov but the majority watching that fight would go Charlo. When a guy makes the fight, comes forward, is the only one to hurt his opponent and throws 200 more punches, he is usually going to get a decision. That's just the way it is.
