Would Briggs have gotten the decision if the fight was held in america? I just don't think that vitalis skill would be any match for the corruption? Whats everyone's thoughts
LOL surely no, but that idiot Ian Jon Lewis did everything possible to destroy Briggs' health. He should've stopped the beating in 7th, after 7th, in 9th or in 11th. Yet he's quick to wave it off in domestic fights in Britain when fighter isn't even really hurt.
This. Vitali would’ve destroyed Briggs in America as well. Vitali beat Briggs like a drum for 12 rounds.
That doesnt mean he will het the decision in north america lol gvodsyk was brutalising stevenson and was on he's way to a loss
Really? Vitali absolutly smashed him to bits and got 2 knockdowns maybee 3 its been awhile since i seen it, the punishment briggs took that night was savage, should of been stopped. Vitalis face was pure confusion in the final rounds, how can any man take that beating. He walked on to flush shots allnight. Briggs was in the fight in patches but it wasnt even close; please go re watch the fight(with your eyes open this time.)
He would. Briggs wasn’t competitive in the least. Also, Gvozdyk didn’t go to Canada to be awarded a decision. Gvozdyk came to take Stevenson out and he did. If Gvozdyk needed a decision to beat a 41 year-old than he’d only have himself to blame if he didn’t get the decision just like Jack, who was complaining about getting a draw when he had an old man in front of him that he should’ve been able to stop.
Briggs was coming forward all night. That alone should have gotten him the nod. I do think Briggs should have at least been warned for headbutting Vitali's fists. He got away with it all night and it probably cost him the decision.
Briggs had him where he wanted him! Rounds should be judged by their eventual intent and by the "story of the fight". Briggs intended to get Vitali tired by acting like a mobile punching bag and he got it right. Boy was Vits sweating like anything by the 12th! Briggs thought it was 15 rounds or he would have turned up the gas earlier. He was robbed! He should have been ahead but got robbed. Murica would have given him the correct decision
