good strong underrated fighter, if he'd had a better promoter in his prime he could've been a world champion.

@houmzz no videos on Artem Suslenkov's pro fights yet? I wanna see the highlight reel KO's from him.

Kalle Sauerland (WBSS): As far as I know, all boxers were paid fees. Some received them through promoters ... Maybe they were waiting for their money from their promoters.

I think Molina is fighting in late-January. Can't get into boxrec right now but I believe it's a 6 rounder against a fighter that I will charitably describe as a "relative-unknown from Mexico".

A couple upcoming fights in the HW division:

    • Cassius Chaney will be fighting Michael Glasscox in late January. I seem to remember Glasscox as a CW prospect from a few years ago who didn't make it very far up the ladder. So - yet again - they seem to be refusing to step-up Cassius Chaney.
    • Donnie Palmer will be fighting at the Royale in Boston in late January. I've heard he's about 35 lbs lighter than he was for the Joyce match last year. I didn't recognize the name of his opponent - but my gut tells me they are going to try to line Palmer up as an opponent for Niall Kennedy (who currently holds the New England HW belt) some time in 2019. Kennedy is quite popular in Boston and Donnie Palmer is from Boston (Dorchester) - so the appeal of the matchup is obvious.

I think Whyte has done enough to clear a path to Joshua with his Chisora win - he doesn't really need to try to strengthen his case by fighiting Povetkin.

It's pretty atypical for Russian/Eastern European fighters to stick around for very long after they start to decline - or encounter significant injury. Perhaps Povetkin could fight Joe Joyce in the USA or UK or Sergey Kuzmin or Andrey Fedosov back home. All would have good money, I think.

Will Gassiev be fighting at Crusierweight or at Heavyweight? Gassiev has suggested that he might move up weight to Heavyweight soon.

I personally still feel Povetkin has the beating of most top contenders though there is a clear decline. I’d like a fight against Fedesov though I’ve seen him state in a previous interview he’d never fight Sasha because there friends

Chaney has a glass chin and won't be getting moved up quickly.

There is new Cuban heavyweight on the horizon in the face of Frank Sanchez Faure. He is 6′ 4″ feet tall and has 10 wins with 8 coming by KO. He is set to return on 11th of January, where he will face Willy Lake Jr. Fight will be on Showtime.

The 26-year-old Faure fought on the Cuban National Team and competed in more than 200 amateur fights. After defecting from Cuba, the heavyweight turned professional in September of 2017 and has won 10 fights in just over 14 months. Faure lives and trains in Las Vegas, where he is managed by International Boxing Hall of Fame referee Richard Steele.

“Growing up in Cuba, I’ve always dreamed of having this opportunity to fight on television in America, and now that dream is becoming a reality,” Faure said. “I’m going to punish my opponent and give the fans a reason to watch me every time I step in the ring. I’m the next Cuban sensation.”
