Lucian Bute's completely out of his character "destruction, destruction!!!" before the Pascal fight where he got completely dominated.

I'll assume that you misunderstood my post. What I meant to say is that the Cyborg vs Nunes fight was non-stop punching from beginning to end, and featured no wrestling or grappling whatsoever. So for all intents and purposes, it was a boxing match. I believed that it would be good for this thread, which asks for pre-fight comments made by boxers which are funny in hindsight. If that spoiled your day, then I humbly apologize.

Pretty much everything Conor McGregor said before he fought Mayweather.

Eubank Snr before Eubank Jnr's schooling and domination by Groves (until the latter's arm was dislocated)

"I fear I've built him too well"

Except Bernard called Calzaghe a “Boy” and not a “Guy” at the end of that just to add to the disrespect.

Super Joe taught Bernard’s dumbass a lesson :D

It’s funny you bring up Naz Because the first thing that came to mind was everything he ranted about going into the Barrera fight, along with all the other shenanigans. I’m not sure that was allah’s plan after all.So prince has been on both sides of this question.

Hopkins before the Joe Smith Jr bout "you're common, I'm special"

Then gets sent to hell by the common man.

“Kicked super slappys ass”??? Lol Possibly the dumbest comment you’ve made on here. Even dumber than “Kirk would have destroyed Vitali had he trained!”

Much as I was a fan of his, Ricky Hatton's "bet your house on me" before the Pacquiao fight was a pretty good one considering what happened.

Slappy could have given his Welsh fans a thankyou for their support by taking Nards offer for a rematch in Wales but instead took to the hills in a coke an booze stupor. he knew NARD was coming to kick his ass
The Kirk I knew in Dallas would have given Vitali all he needed and more the tag team of John Ruiz and Joe Cortez robbed him of the WBA belt Ruiz deserved an Oscar for his acting and Cortez should have been flogged . that took Kirks heart he was finished with boxing he took Vitali in a cash out purely for the money
