No. I think The speed and explosiveness was what got to Frazier. Take that away and Frazier's chances are much better.

I think he would have tagged him at some point, but maybe quite a bit later.

Foreman didn't show speed,he just waited for Joe to come to him ,pushed him back out to his optimum range and hooked and uppercutted the **** out of him.

Joe could have beaten him , a 71 version. I mean Morrison beat George and Alex Stewart got off the mat and swelled Georges head up seriously. Neither of those guys would have went 5 rounds with a 1973 Foreman so saying a prime Frazier beats him is plausible .

Foreman was quicker on his feet to set up those devastating punches, no way he does that old, he was too ponderous, young Frazier would beat the hell out of him, he would have more opportunity to land the hook he didn't get a chance to with the younger Foreman.

Yes - it was more a wall of punching, rather than anything reliant on speed, timing and accuracy.

What I think might quite likely differ, is George's early footwork (in the actual fight), which allowed his younger self to change his position quite quickly and re-set. Joe would have more success getting through on a more static Old George but, in some ways, I think this almost lends itself to an expedited ending - an all-out firefight.

He doesn't have to be quick on his feet, Frazier will be right there for him to hit, he could only fight one way.

I think Joe lasts to win a decision...think. Old Foreman still had the power but he went from a 91 pct KO artist to a 60 pct still high but the old foreman faced less skilled opposition so let that sink in.

    Old Foreman would get annihilated.

Sentiment aside, Old Foreman looses to most lineal heavyweight champions, and a hell of a lot of contenders.
