Hearn should lob money to get Harrison over for Brook - that's the only world level fight truly winnable for Brook.
Who gives a **** if he's fighting a far better fighter? Seriously, the fight is dead, it's been dead. It's not going to happen and this is a more than adequate replacement. I suggest Brook does something similar, move on with his career and actually fight someone with a pulse.
I’ve heard that Conor McGregors manager is considering an offer to make a fight with Khan, for Dublin this summer. I expect it’ll turn out to be BS tbh but imagine how badly Conor would roast him at pressers.
That's exactly my thoughts put it on ppv good money for both fighters and it's more winnable than fighting Hurd.
Yep, Khan for all his faults has stepped up many times and taken the big fights. But as well as daring to be great, I read today he's been offered £4 million for the Crawford fight! That's a lot of cash. Could he earn the same against Brook? Some of our more savvy PPV experts can answer that, I haven't a notion. But Crawford offers the belts and the cash, what does Brook offer?
I'm amazed anyone thinks this. He clearly just can't stand the thought of losing to Brook. He can't really believe he's got a place in the upper echelon of the sport after the Vargas fight. I refuse to believe anyone is that deluded. Crawford in 6. Perhaps earlier.
As others have said, Khan is better off fighting Crawford. The Brook fight will still be there for him if he loses. Brook should aim for a wold title shot in the meantime. If he wins, it will give him a bit more sway in negotiations if Khan loses. People are praising Khan for aiming for greatness and insulting Brook for looking for the big payday, but let's not kid ourselves that Khan isn't ultimately driven by money (as most fighters are). Yes, I give him major credit for fighting Canelo and Crawford. However, he took the path of least resistance to land those fights. Before the Canelo fight, Khan hadn't fought a real top fighter since Garcia in 2012 (Garcia wasn't even seen as a top world class fighter back then). Khan tried landing the money fight against Mayweather and Pacquiao by fighting less than seller opposition and running his mouth off. He reminded me of the HW contenders during the Klitschko era; avoid the other top contenders, fight a series of lower rung fighters and bide your time until the big fight comes of. If Khan truly cared about legacy over money, he would have fought the top WW's to earn his Mayweather/Pacquiao/Canelo/Crawford fight. However, he didn't. Khan did what Brook is doing now, and what many before him have done - earn the big fight the easy way. No disrespect to Khan, OR Brook, I like them both. But, let's not pretend they are doing what, say, Dillian Whyte is doing right now; fighting top contenders to earn his big money fight.
Cool story but how many world champions has Khan fought? Diaz, Alexander, Collazo and Algieri were solid as f fights tbh, not comparable to the Nono Dans and Biziers of this world lol Look @ Khans resume after Prescott and it is very exceptional. The worst fighters he fought happen to be the last 2 and that was after a huge break and getting absolutely destroyed by Canelo. He deserved a couple of soft touches tbh
I'm not defending Brook. As I said above, he has done what Khan has done. Khan's resume between Garcia and Canelo is good. But considering he was chasing a Mayweather or Pacquiao fight at the time (and was being embarrassingly vocal about it), he may have been better fighting more respected fighters like Thurman, Porter, Bradley, etc, than fighting the guys he did. Before Garcia, Khan took risks. After Garcia, he chose the easier route to land the huge fights.
Khan and Brooks resumes are not comparable!!! No Brook did not do what Khan did lol, he fought low tier blokes Khan fought World champions!!!! Khan's resume is super solid regardless, one of the most stacked of his generation. Hardly a bad fight in there tbh Thurman didn't have his big break through wins until after Khan fought Canelo??? Porter drew with Diaz just before Khan beat Diaz, Porter also lost to Brook a while later. Khan schooled Porters best win (at the time) far easier than Porter did. Porter is a good fighter but it was not a big legacy fight at the time. Porter happens to be at a career high point right now, arguably beat Thurman and beat Garcia. Now that fight would be a much bigger deal! Bradley would have been a good scalp. probably should have fought him
What Khan is doing is not "daring to be great". Khan is basically thinking that if he loses to Crawford the Brook fight is still on the table. All that means to me is that Khan has already considered losing the Crawford fight and what it does for him....nothing great in that guys.
