Who’s fraud vs Fanny?

With Joshua I think at least one of his fights will be stateside, if that’s the case and it’s Miller at 3am will that really be a UK PPV? I’m not so sure.

Inoue vs Tete/Donaire and Taylor vs Prograis surely won’t be PPV. The WBSS doesn’t have big stars or big domestic stars this year.

Whyte needs a dance partner for PPV and if it’s not Joshua there’s no chance he gets Wilder or Fury, he’s already had Parker, Povetkin/Usyk/Ortiz are too dangerous for a man in number 1 with the WBC. He’s back to regular sky this year (unless he gets the Joshua fight).

Fury see above. It’s not going to be AJ so if he doesn’t get a Wilder rematch immediately then will he risk it against one of the other 3 dangerous men or Whyte/Parker? If not he’s not going to be on PPV.

Josh Warrington’s next fight is Kid Galahad whether he likes it or not. Good luck to whoever wins the purse bid and wants to try and put that on PPV.

One you have left out though is Callum Smith. That win was supposed to properly him to super stardom. Him vs Groves rematch, Canelo/GGG, a unification at Anfield then I’d suggest it’s going on PPV, even possibly the Eubank v Degale winner...

 

Hearn will be lining up his next ppv star, I reckon he'll probably have buatsi in a ppv before the end of the year.

 

How many threads will Jurgen create about PPV in 2019?

How many views will you get for this thread? 100? 1000?

How many PPV buys will there be this year from your 12 shows all together, 7-8 million maybe? 5-6 million?

With those kind of numbers you're effectively standing in the corner talking to yourself.

 

The price of a PPV is cheaper than a Dominos. Stop moaning and enjoy this era, don't like it? Stream it. The model is obviously working, why else would there be so many PPV shows?

 

Dave Allan and David Price could be in for a very busy year with all these PPVs.

 

I don't think Joshua fighting in America at 3-4am will stop them making it PPV. Mayweather vs McGregor was still PPV at about 5am and I would guess Joshua would bring in more numbers than that fight. I could be wrong, but I just can't see Joshua fighting on regular Sky sports any time soon. He is their PPV golden goose.

 

Hopefully the mods will amalgamate them all into one PPV megathread.

 

He's right though. About everything. PPV is a mugth's game, perpetuated because so many people take this approach:

 

I just hope they calm it down with the PPV's. These are UK PPV's for me:

1. Any AJ fights (Obviously)
2. Brook vs Khan (It just about enters the PPV realm, but only just)
3. Any Fury fights (December has made Fury much much bigger and he can now argue that he is a PPV fighter in the UK)
4. Warrington vs Santa Cruz/Valdez (Again, it's another fringe entry)

And that's it. Everything else needs to stay away from PPV. Oh wait..they've already broken that with DeGale vs Eubank...poor.

What we'll actually get:
Sky:
1. AJ vs Whyte/Miller
2. AJ vs Wilder/Fury/Usyk
3. Khan vs Crawford
4. Smith vs Canelo/GGG/?
5. Brook vs Hurd
6. Whyte vs Miller/Povetkin/Usyk/Ortiz
7. Katie Taylor vs Cecilia Braekhus (They'll put this in Ireland. Watch out for it, this is what I would call my wildcard)

BT:
1. Fury vs Bum (Deonkey's gone running)
2. Warrington vs Santa Cruz/Valdez

ITV:
1. DeGale vs Eubank Jr
2. Spence vs Garcia (They'll argue their case but let's be real, it doesn't sell.)
3. Wilder vs Breazeale/Pulev (No I'm not joking, they'll try this one as well. Greedy ITV)
