Josh Kelly moving up to 154lbs

He is too small for 154, those guys are huge I seen Kelly he isn't that big off season.

 

Is this confirmed anywhere? Would have to be matched very smartly at 154

 

The only logical reason that Hearn would do this is to add another name to his 154 domestic group. He's now got Fowler, Fitzgerald and Kelly around the same level, then Cheeseman with british and potential euro belt, then Beefy and Brook who have fought at world level. Add in Eggington as a yard-stick for each of them and he's got the domestic division boxed off for the next two years.

 

Well if he is struggling with the weight he will have to move up. Somebody described him as a 'tank' at 147lbs. That is taking it a bit far. 154lbs is a different animal.

 

Josh kelly cant even crack eggs at 147, so 154 will not be kind to him. Hurd walks him down and stops him.

 

A lot of the belt holders will be moving up soon enough so if he and hearn can navigate it quite well then maybe he could end up picking up a paper title but can’t see him ever being close to the man at 154.

 

i don't actually think he is that big at welterweight naturally, i think he's just lazy. he's always had problems with weight

 

I think of this kid as a lightweight wtf has he been eating/drinking ?

 

That is my suspicions aswell..if he can make welter he should.

 

I have heard it before but one would have to question this move. He is not big, quiet small for 154 to be honest. I think it will end in a wobbly dance for him.

If true there's is gonna be some brilliant all UK fights at 154 and definitely gonna be at least 1 or 2 world champions from here.
