He ignored BJS To unify and become undisputed and didnt fight derevyanchenko to defend his ibf belt. Even after the draw and the drug test after losing his ibf belt he still chased Canelo even after the shady scorecards he still chased cinnamon . Sounds to me he had cinnamon fever. He was after Canelo like a jealous ex...

He wanted to make his money, and Canelo was the one who could give him those right-figure paydays … and for what it's worth Golden Boy were the one's telling him not to fight Saunders in the meantime for undisputed or Derevyanchenko.

So in some ways I don't blame him, although on the other hand as a fan I wish he had taken the BJS fight in June 2016 and leave Golden Boy to figure out what to do.

If GGG had the following and financial backing like Canelo has it would be a different story. It's like trying to split a 3 million dollar purse between him Jabobs to make everyone happy.

Total fake news! Golovkn had a choice between BJS and Canelo and he went with Canelo. GB never told him to do that, it was his own choice.
During the meantime he was trying to fight Cotto because he was a small guy on the way out and he knew he could easily bowl him over.
All his undisputed talk from day one was a load of nonsense. He used the pursuit of all the belts as an excuse to avoid challenges.
He was one belt away from his ambition when he sold himself out to Canelo.
And like a guy who likes to avoid risks , thats exactly how he fought in the two fights :polutxoso:

Who's the one that chose to chase ginger. Not. Unify with BJS and gave up the belt ? GGG exactly. That's why it's called obsession when you put up through someone's bull**** and still chase them

We all listen up when a big payday is dangled in our face if money and more exposure is a motivator. GGG needed Canelo to become a household name.

I know money is not always a motivation for some because look at my man Marvin after the screw job from SR...He said no to more money and walked away from boxing. Solid character right there IMO

Heck Floyd chase money too but he does it very wisely and effortlessly. He totally embarrassed a toP MMA fighter and then laughs all the way to the bank

I guess what I’m trying to say is Money and exposure were important to GGG to the point that he played the game like most do.
