I'd like to revisit a question that I posted on here a few years back.

Panama Lewis was in Duran's corner vs Davey Moore the same night that he was in Luis Resto's corner when he pummeled Billy Collins. IMO, Resto and Collins suffered similar beatings. Very brutal. After Lewis's banishment as a result of the Resto being caught, Duran never issued a beating so severe since. No one ever talks about this. Why? Thoughts please.

I'm interested in other's insight here, maybe some background, but the beating he gave Moore, Duran could have worn 16oz gloves and still had the same result.

A counterpunching festival. The gap in experience and skill grew larger with each exchange.

interesting, but I don't think Duran would be pert of something like that. Actually, I think he would have kicked panamas butt if he suggested it

I don’t know. Didn’t Moore suffer similar beatings after the Duran fight so maybe it wasn’t just a one-off exceptional beating that Duran gave him?

Lewis was NOT in his corner that night. He too had given up on Duran after BENITEZ and Laing. Luis Spada was Durans trainor. I was in the audience that night and Lewis had nothing to do w/ Duran by then. Look it up next time before you try to soil a greats name. Btw in Durans prime Lewis was nothing but a spit bucket carrier.

My mistake. His presence is still suspicious to me. Especially the beating that Moore suffered.

The Resto/Collins bout was on the undercard of Duran/Moore. Ergo, I'm not quite sure why his presence would be suspicious.
