Those backing Browne have you seen his recent fights?

His last fight was against an obese midget and it still took him 5 rounds to ko the guy...

Browne won't KO him. Browne decision or ref stops the fight due to Browne's cuts.

what has Allen done other than ko Webb who just got ko'd again by a journeyman (a decent one I admit)? It is not so much backing browne but saying allen fails when he steps up + no doubting browne can bang

Allen will train hard for this IMO.

Browne is past it. He’s an old man in terrible shape.

I pick Allen to UD Browne or KO him late on. Granted this is if Allen actually trains. If he doesn’t, it’s a 50/50 of who can stay standing the longest.

Browne has power yes, but Allen’s chin is proven elite, whereas Browne ‘power’ is against mediocre opponents. Allen’s fought Ortiz, Whyte and Yoka, all around the same power as Browne, if not more power, andthey couldnt KO him. Ref stopped the Ortiz fight butbobly to save Allen as he had lost every round, that won’t happen vs Browne.

Dave Allen, he's Northern, he's humble, he's working class, he loves boxing, he'll fight anyone, he.............I just want the daft idiot to actually grow up and take it seriously.

Before the KO, Webb was winning against Allen, he did f**k all except get punched a lot against Whyte, Ortiz and Yoka, the latter two stopping him. He got beaten by Lenroy Thomas for crying out loud. As for that last fight, any heavyweight worth his salt would have had him out of there within three rounds, how he dragged that on, gassed out and got his face battered was a clear sign that he needs to take this sport seriously.

    Allen by knockout imo.

Both will likely come in better shape than in the past. This will be an awful fight technically, two guys with absolutely no idea on defence. However I think Browne's punch resistance has completely vanished at this point and Allen will get to him at some point & win by knockout.

This will be brilliant for entertainment. Like two fat old blokes having a fight outside the chippy after a night out .

Where does this leave Price? If he wants to fight a name now, it will probably have to be someone who can fight. He would have knocked Browne out and just because of his name it would have put Price further up the ladder. Who is he going to fight now to get him there?

Browne was never great but if he has anything left he should beat Allen imo.

Stick him in against Briggs. Be a hilarious build up and watch.

Hughie Fury would be the one I'd go for if i was price. Big (ish) name in the divison and zero power. Price would have his usual 3-4 rounds before he gasses to try and land.

Hughie is a very bad matchup for Price IMO. If there's one thing Hughie can do it's survive and he also has a good chin. Hughie's gameplan: Get to round 6 and watch pricey unfold. 6-12 My ten year old son would take Pricey out.

It is genuinely printing money backing Dave Allen in this fight. Big Daddy Browne is so past its ridiculous, he hasn't been in shape since the drugs issue and he's just waiting on one last pay day. 100K to make Allen look like a world beater followed by a couple goodbye fights in Aus and that will do him fine.

Can't see a single way Allen loses. And I don't rate him either.

    I'm torn on this...

On the one hand Allen got drawn into an absolute slugfest against Bracamonte, gassing and taking far more punches than he needed.

However Browne looked pretty shocking in his last two fights, struggling against journeyman. Against Long he looked out on his feet, and against Pati he failed to establish his jab and was held for 4 painfully long rounds. Hardly showed any real work rate either.

If Allen arrives in shape he should win easily. If he doesn't I expect 8 (is it an 8 rounder?) plodding slow rounds of both guys getting hit far too much. Browne on points.

Unfortunately it appears Allen has set the precedent for how he prepares for fights. He even said there was a nutritionist on board for his fight against the Argentinian fella, yet he was unable to stick to his diet regime. Additionally he was talking about retiring in 2 years time which for me is never good to hear from a fighter still deemed a challenger.

Browne on points in a brutal slugfest.

Its for a regional title according to the fight poster?
