just read an article (link at the bottom) about Jeff Chandler and Eijiro Murata as they got ready for their 2nd fight. It says Murata holds the distinction of having 2 15 round draws in his first 2 title fights? Badou Jack drew with Bute and Degale back to back, but the result was changed in the Bute fight due to a drug test. He also drew with Adonis and Periban. Periban was the only nontitle fight.
Ricardo Cordoba's first 2 title fights ended in draws - both against Vlodymyr Sydorenko. Jong-Kwan Chung's first 2 title fights were draws - both against Soon Chun Kwon. Frankie Genaro had draws in 2 consecutive title defenses - against Midget Wolgast and Victor Ferrand. Kid Williams also had draws in 2 consecutive defenses - against Frankie Burns and Pete Herman. Ben Willaflor successfully defended his world title with draws 3 times - though not in consecutive title bouts. Gene Fullmer also had 3 title fights that ended in draws. 2 as defending champion (Robinson, Giardello), and 1 as challenger (tiger).
Jimmy Barry has 3 draws in fights billed for world titles on boxrec. Edit: Casper Leon has 5 billed for world titles on boxrec, and another where his opponent claimed the title. How legit those claims are, I'll leave to you. Jack Britton has 4

Jorge Paez drew with Louie Espinoza and Troy Dorsey in IBF featherweight title bouts and I think had a couple of other title fights that were split decisions.
I love that idea. After 68 rounds, I sympathise with the ref! So, Frank Murphy had 8 fights and fought 260 rounds. Using Floyd Mayweather as a good modern example of a fighter who boxes a lot of rounds (and not to bash him at all), he has fought 397 rounds in 50 fights. Of course, no 12 or 15 round restrictions in those days...
