Marciano would land plenty too. He threw plenty o' punches and Norton wasn't what one would call a defensive wizard (though he wasn't terrible defensively). The question here is whether or not Norton can handle Rocky's power. I don't think he can.
The question for me is could Rocky make Norton back up ? If he could he would probably win because Norton could not fight backing up. If Norton can keep coming forward behind his jab ,he might win a decision or a tko on cuts. That's the crux of it for me.
I can’t imagine many people standing a chance coming forward on Marciano. Except maybe Foreman. If Norton squares with him he’s a goner
Just for starters , Bowe and Tyson besides Foreman would meet marciano head on and catapult his head into the cheap seats quickly.....if you would have a time machine and those fights would unfold right now you would not put a penny on Marciano because sanity would settle in. fact.
That's strange. I can imagine many doing it. But they are bigger, longer, younger and well, better than the foes he faced. Slow footed, undersized, stumpy powerpunchers don't have a great track record since... 1955.
I’d bet the house Marciano v Bowe. Tyson idk toss up. But still Tyson would need to set the distance if Marciano is able to fight inside the whole fight he’s beating Mike. If he can’t yes head probably comes off.
This is a revolving door argument with you. I know you don’t like Marciano against modern fighters and something about blueberries. Lol to each their own.
I'd favor Marciano. He would get in close and stay there. I think he'd eventually overpower Norton in the trenches.
Great fight ! I could see rock getting the worst of it early but I think he grinds down Norton and stops him in about seven rnds .hard night for both guys
