    Any fighter, any era.

    Why do you choose them?

    I choose Jose Napoles, smoothest boxer I've seen on film. Almost seamless blend of offense and defense.

    Jack Dempsey


    I've always thought of myself as Dempsey/Marciano-like, but really my technique is (at best), a discount Baer/Morrison

    Either way, Dempsey's explosive, fun, brutal style at heavyweight would get boxing back on the map to greatness

    For me it would either be Harold Johnson, Ricardo Lopez or JMM. Nice textbook style, using basic boxing technique to the highest level.

    Sugar Ray Robinson is an obvious choice, power in both hands, able to box and punch, devastating combinations, great footwork and timing on both offense and defense, it's almost cheating to use him as my example. Duran's another one in this light, does so much so well, and his inside control and aggression would be marvelous to unleash.

    Past those two, though, I think Jersey Joe would be my choice. Super slick footwork and head movement, coupled with two handed power and undeniable style would give anyone trouble.

    Floyd Patterson - still think he threw some of the best combos of any heavyweight in history, always superbly balanced when he threw his shots; he was almost poetic.
