How high ? I mean he has always stepped up. Triple grandpa ducked him . Ward beat the hell out of froch. Stopped kovalev ... Cleared out 168 super six tournament. He always has been the type to step up instead of just talking smack. Also there are conspiracy theories as to (Son of Judges). And Andre "low blow "Ward . What are your thoughts as wards reputation as a fighter overall

He's not known as loaded dice Ward for nothing.

Could have had the Golovkin work, but nixed the fight by trying to stack the deck too far in his favour.

Won a boring decision over Froch without ever flooring or hurting him.

Was gifted a robbery decision over Kovalev by the American judges. Would have been disqualified anywhere but the States in the second fight and should also have been disqualified for constant headbutting against Kessler.

Good fighter, but has benefitted from having the deck stacked in his favour all through his career. Ugly style, but does what he has to in order to win fights, safe in the knowledge that he can bend the rules without being called to book for it.

He's unquestionably one of the very best fighters of the last 10 years.

Ward was a very, very good fighter. He won the Super 6 with relative ease against some very good fighters who went on to have very good careers themselves (Froch).

He didn't have to step up vs Kovalev when some in Kovalev's own division were ducking him. I thought he lost the first fight 114-113 or 115-112, I've watched it a few times and never been able to find 7 rounds for Ward. However, even though there were some low-blows in the second fight, I feel like Ward did a lot of good work to the body and had figured Kovalev out. Even without the low-blows I thought Ward would have gone on and won.

However, there are some also some legitimate criticisms. Style-wise Ward was never pretty, there's no getting around that and his fights were often dull. He also fought dirty at times and benefited from some crooked hometown officiating. I think he had the beating of Kessler anyway but those headbutts were disgraceful.

His overall legacy is solid, you have to put him top 2 with Calzaghe at 168 but 168 is not the strongest division historically. I also think there is missed potential as his career lacked longevity because of his promotional dispute and relatively early retirement.

One of the best fighters of his generation, obviously a clear Hall of Famer once he becomes eligible.

He'll probably be underrated by many because he wasn't popular, but in terms of ability and skill he was a great fighter.

To me he;s rated same level as a snakes belly. He NEVEWR LEGITIMATELY beat Kovalev;. The Super Six was years ago & all his fights were at home. He's a hypocrite claiming tp be religious while continually suing his termiinally ill manager Added to all this he is one of the dirtiest fighters I have ever witnessed

All time great. Arguably the greatest Super Middleweight in history alongside the great “RJ” Roy Jones Jr and the legendary “Lights Out” James Toney.

The best fighter of the last 20 years imo, I personally rate higher than Floyd and Manny just because he fought several different styles whilst not taking an L and went into fights that people picked him to lose. I think he could of done more like fought Bute and Stevenson but beside that he did everything I wanted him to do.

He was a revolutionary, he developed his own style, he was the most entertaining fighter the world has ever seen. Fans all around the globe fell in love with his grab, drag, maybe throw a punch style. He was in so many fights if the year. Now compare that to a guy who stalks his prey and blows them out with massive power and technique like Triple God? There's no comparison. That's how highly I rate him.
