In a recent interview Tom Loeffler said that when GGG had to fight with Jacobs, Golovkin had to do the second day weigh in and Jacobs didn’t, now when Canelo is fighting with Jacobs the second day weigh in is in the contract, and that’s a huge advantage for Canelo.

Also in October Loeffler and Abel Sanchez said that they are 100% sure that Canelo is not fighting with Jacobs as he is scared

I’m a Golovkin fan but Loeffler and Abel are embarrassing

wasnt it required by ibf the second day weigh in? now jacobs have ibf title so he must do this.

just wondering why he didnt do it with ggg and only wbc and wba titles were on the line.

is there some penalities if he dosent go through with secound day weigh in apart from losing his ibf title?

Maybe it’s just me, but it’s been a while since we’ve had a GGG thread.

    I don't think so,

There's a special rehydration clause for this fight. The boxer who exceeds 170 pounds will be penalized with several hundred thousand dollars per pound. I read that about 300,000 per pound of excess.

In addition, in unification fights the IBF does not longer require same-day weigh-in since 2017, so Jacobs would not have vacate his title.

170 pounds? WTF? Even Canelo is going to the ring around 175-178
