Always liked Groves.....some people didnt like his smart mouth in build ups to fight but when he was being himself I felt he always came across as one of the more grounded and self aware boxers out there

I think being involved in a fight which lead his opponent be seriously damaged changed him more than anything...and becoming a father for a second time recently cemented his decision and fair play to him for that

He won his world title....had a nice win against Eubank and I think the rehabilitation that he had to go through just be able to get in the ring against Smith was a step too far.....but fortunately he didn't get badly hurt and he can retire with money in the bank and his faculties in place
