Good replacement, still expect Sam to win in good style.

Makes sense now why Craig Evans was withdrawn from the purse bids for the Cordina fight.

    Agreed.
I would of prefered Clarke but I can't argue against Evans as a replacement.
Still I'm picking Sam to get the win.

Can Evans do the weight. He looked awful on scales in his last fight and that was up at lightweight.

I highly doubt he will make the weight, he struggled very badly in 2014 when I was down with Ronnie to fight him.

His only time under limit was his debut. Even wen he fought Ronnie it wasn't at championship limit was a couple pounds over.

Yeah he took 3 attempts to make 9st 6lb and was still a few ounces over.

Ye I just can't see how he's going to do championship weight and if he does manage to make it, how long is he going to last in there before the weight drain catches up.
Maybe it's not that good a fight after all.

Has this fight been confirmed? I haven't seen anything official. Then again, I am blocked by Frank Warren on Twitter.

You didn't dare confront any of Frank's decisions did you?
Your lucky to get away with a block.

Decent enough fight. Evans wil really test him but he lacks any sort of power. Can see Evans gassing mid to late due to the weight and getting stopped after an even first few rounds

Even at 9st 6lb Craig gassed badly and Ronnie was stalking him down with Craig looking to hold on at any opportunity. I can see what they are trying to do with Bowen, getting him another southpaw to prepare for the Ronnie Clark fight once his injury heals but they box nothing the same.

Evans would have been better in an all Welsh battle with Cordina at lightweight. Frank certainly wasn't thinking about what's best for Evans when he pulled him from purse bids for the Cordina fight.

Cordina was a final eliminator for a british title, this fight is for a british title. This is a main event also, guaranteed to be a higher purse than the Cordina fight which would have been stuck on an undercard somewhere.
