So to be clear: nobody actually thinks Yarde can be more competitive than Beterbiev?

I'm surprised more people aren't down to see Krusher versus Nail, tbh.

Maybe two weeks ago Gvozdyk said if Alvarez won the rematch he wanted to unify with him but if Kovalev won he wanted Bivol. Seems like Sergei and Oleksander will only be unifying if they're the only two Champions left.

I also want to see Yarde get the first shot just to see Kovalev shatter his glass jaw and humiliate him. Would be even better if the fight is in the UK

I voted Ramirez as kovalev has fought such a hard schedule I think this would be a good name and less risky than beterviev or gvosdk

then after that he can face 1 of those 2

Ya they're both managed by Klimas, have trained together in several camps and sparred each other for their Ward I / Chilemba camps.

They're friends, although Kovalev still said he'd be willing to fight him. As far as I go, I have no desire to see two of my favorite fighters face each other.

I voted Yarde because I think it would be a better option for Kovalev.

...has Yarde fought even once yet on American televsion? I'm not sure any casuals outside the UK know his name. So I'm not sure he is higher reward than Beterbiev, even if he is lower risk.

Ok, in (another) interview lately Kovalev answered it perfectly clear about his possible fight with Gvozdyk. He said he would only fight The Nail when both of them have two belts each.

Yeah, that fight in America is almost completely unrealistic at this point. But they could fight in the UK. Do I believe that Yarde will agree to fight Kovalev even in the UK? No. But the question wasn't "what is the most realistic fight for Kovalev?". The question was "What is the best move for Kovalev?". And I think the best move for Kovalev would be to try to get Yarde. Or Ramirez. Because, I'm afraid, there's a chance Beterbiev might end his career...
