I hate to say it, but I think Lomachenko's career will go down hill from here on out. Lomachenko's ascension to the top of boxing was an incredible ride that we were all very luck to have witnessed unfolding. Perhaps we were blinded by his rapid rise through the ranks and a failure to temper our own excitement has resulted in otherworldly expectations of the beautiful Ukrainian (no homo). Lomachenko very clearly has a ceiling and I think that we've already seen it in the Linares and Pedraza fights.

Lomachenko simply does not have the durability and the physicality to compete beyond 135 where he is already at a size disadvantage. Look, at the minimum, Linares and Pedraza's punches bothered Lomachenko. Against Pedraza, Lomachenko came out with a mangled face and Pedraza isn't exactly a power puncher. Further complicating matters is his lack of power. Activity and accuracy can only go so far. While not exactly featherfisted, Lomachenko simply doesn't have the pop to keep bigger guys honest. And let's be honest — Lomachenko has very delicate skin and he's showing more and more bruising by the fight (happens to aging fighters).

The good thing is that Lomachenko is so high up there that he has a ways to fall before he's even just world class.

Most over-hyped fighter ever. Don't get me wrong, he is a world class P4P talent but his resume is far from ATG level. A couple of world class wins is far from becoming an ATG

Lomachenko's skin is a liability. I see swelling and cuts being the primary factor if he were to lose.

What’s wrong with people these days? Why everyone started to hate on Loma?

Ha wanted to get the Mikey Garcia or the Gervonta fight, but he is being avoided as most of the Easter Europeans. There are no other big names around his weight division

No one's hating on him. But we're seeing larger men really start to push him. And both larger men (Pedraza and Linares) are skinny types w/ height. Against sturdier guys like Prograis and Josh Taylor, Loma will be in trouble.

Just stop, man. Pedraza is feather-fisted. Lomachenko should't look like he went to war with a junior welterweight after the fight.

Give Loma more time, only 12 pro fights. But funny how time flies when you've had almost 400 amateur fights.
Maybe he is too small for bigger guys after all.

He won't be unbeatable but I hope he goes to war and doesn't retire after one beating. He can be in a lot of fun fights with his style.

    lol this thread.

He's never moving beyond 135lbs. He'll settle here and dominate for years. It's virtually impossible that he can be defeated unless he fights until 40y/o, which is highly highly unlikely. He seems like a guy who will leave the game relatively soon actually. He's the greatest amateur boxer ever and has simply dominated as a professional.

Berchelt, Crolla, Cambell, and Comney are all possible near term opponents.

Davis, Farmer, Haney and Teofimo will never be allowed to get near him (and they dont want to)

None of these people can defeat Loma. 0.0% chance.

    Grj-not elite
    Sosa-not elite
    Martinez-not elite
Rigo-old and dragged up 2 weight classes
    Linares- dropped him
    Walters- coming off a layoff
Pedraza- beaten first and more decisively by tank
