    No he isn't.

He is just so unreliable and wasn't a obey fight with a belt (the most pintoes belt at that) that everyone has got it twisted with him being avoided.

I disagree. I don't think we've ever heard the words "Billy Joe Saunders" from Canelo's mouth in public ever. And he had one of the belts. I'm pretty sure that Canelo would have been content to stay clear from Saunders. Even after Saunders' doping violation, we didn't hear anything from Canelo despite Saunders' insults when Canelo had his violation.

Saunders is technically one of our best boxers. His ring IQ is second to none. It's a shame he lacks the work ethic and is wayyyy too inactive which will inevitably cost him. You can't live that type of lifestyle and expect to compete with the elite. Had of he stayed active on the back of his win in Canada he could've been considered legit. Now I feel we're saying "what could have been" re a fighter that isnt even retired!

I guess the signs have been there that Saunders struggled to make the weight. Maybe the 'nasal spray' was all that was getting him down there? The Andrade fight in Massachusettes would've been difficult enough given what's gone on previously and the split etc would've been painful given what the previous fight would've made him.

So I guess they looked for a different path and hey presto, Frank has worked his special magic with the WBO once again. Arum had said not long ago that Ramirez would move up and fight at 175 without giving up his title, well that's now changed. Meanwhile Saunders is parachuted in at number 2, set nicely for a title fight with number 1 Shefat Isufi, who I know nothing about but he did lose to Sek who was fed to Yarde recently, so I don't think he's the toughest opposition for a title. Best of all, Frank doesn't have to deal with 'Hearn' but sadly the rest of us miss out on the hilarity that would've ensued.

True, but he's another huge super middle, I would guess the weight making just got too much for him.

He and Andrade have unfinished business. If he moves up to 168 and doesn't fight Andrade I see it as a bit of a duck.

He is food for the champions at 175. His fights with Jessie Hart showed me that he won't win a title at light heavy.

Canelo would do a number on Saunders.

Better power, stamina, output, and has a ton to lose.

Tbf you could have made that statement before the Lara fight and we saw what happened there.

As Twenty said, until they fight it’s all just opinions. I’m sure though, that GBP and Canelo look at that fight as one they’d rather not have to take.

I think Billy Joe WILL fight Callum Smith next if he wins the belt. Watch his Behind the Gloves interview last week he said there's a huge fight on the horizon if he wins a world title in his next fight. I don't think he needed a world title to fight Eubanks or Degale, but Callum Smith wants to be undisputed so that is the fight I think Billy has lined up. Remember he would have been talking to Hearn anyway as part of the Andrade negotiations.

I like and rate BJS but I can't see how he beats Smith he's just far too big, even Groves who has long arms could hardly reach Smith.
