A fair few boxers have alluded to AJ not being an especially nice guy off camera. He doesn't seem particularly popular among his peers thinking about it. Not that it matters really, just interesting.

As an example, Dave Allen talked about how Fury conducts himself really well when arranging to have him as a sparring partner. Pays him more than he should and does it all properly. If I remember rightly, he said Joshua and his team didn't when he's sparred him and I think it's seen as very poor etiquette among professional fighters.

Well, as I said in my post, it doesn't matter really.

The discussion was about his personality and perception though which is where this is relevant. Joshua has been marketed as a nice guy with a fairly clean cut image so it's interesting if this is different 'off camera'. They didn't try this with Tyson which makes it a totally moot point.

AJ wasn’t bullied in the slightest. I’ve never doubted for a moment that he’s got an ego and a very spiteful streak under the nice guy image. Credit where’s its due, he’s an elite sportsman and expects a level of professionalism from opponents and Miller simply sank to WWE depths. AJ was definitely angry but not rattled or shook by obese baby Miller. AJ will literally crucify this guy at MSG.

Miller's the nicest guy in the world, couldn't be any sweeter in his post fight interviews. He's actually far classier and nicer than AJ, this is all an act to sell tickets. Nothing more.

You want to see the real Miller, watch this.

People always say AJ has an act and a PR persona and it slips on occasions but is it that? Or is it just his energy is different depending on who he's dealing with? Would you be the same with Wlad as you would be with Jarrell Miller acting like an absolute clown?

People give too much credit for AJ's acting skills. His not an actor and to think he can just turn on this 'fake' persona' when necessary is ridiculous.

And that right there is why AJ will win and likely give Miller quite a beating. There's really no such thing as a hugely successful nice guy in pro boxing. You have to be spiteful and mean spirited towards your opponent in order to continually pound a man out to defeat, usually drawing blood and causing injury in the process.

Breazeale has never struck me as particularly nasty or badass yet, after riling AJ on a couple of occasions and not showing AJ what he felt was his due respect, AJ pretty much manhandled him, beat him up and humiliated him somewhat. Millers done exactly the same thing so I expect a calculated, ground out beating for him aswell.

It's what boxers tend to do to each other, it ain't chess and it ain't a tickling contest.

Just watched it back expecting a brutal stoppage...he was stopped on his feet...

Adamek was holding is own...he was simply outsized...and that’s the relic of adamek who was never really a heavyweight anyway.

I thought the best comment was AJ ripping into both Wilder and Fury and speking the truth:

Maybe, maybe not. Because Jarrell didn't hold back in the ring, he beat the **** out of him. Miller might be one of those guys that gets himself into the proper vicious headspace, and when its over he feels bad, and wants to be conciliatory. Also its a lot easier to feel bad for beating up a past it quasi-iconic for his era old timer like Adamek. A lot easier to feel pity for him that it is for AJ.

I think he’s being himself. There’s not much to him really imo he’s a bit bland and full of cliches’. He’s from and lives in a different world to me and I can’t really relate to it. I don’t particularly like his personality, his press conferences, interviews etc but when he gets in the ring he turns into one hard, spiteful b*****d who will knock your teeth out for disrespecting him. That’s the only time I really like him.
