Lower case ggg is prime for the taking...with the help of some favourable judges.

I think they would need more than just judges. The referee would have to literally help Horn off the canvas and prop him up.

This kid Blake Caparello is fighting have any chance? His only defeat was against Mose Auimatagi Jnr, who isn't horrible to be fair. (I saw him upset 12-0 Morgan Jones on the Joshua vs. Parker undercard)

I'd say the young bloke has a chance. I think I've seen him before & he's decent. Caparello obviously deserves to be a big favourite though. It's not a fight I'd put a bet on.

I've been doing some more thinking about Jeff Horn v Rob Brant. Brant is really big for a middleweight. He's really a light-heavy which might make him a bit too much for Horndog.

The fact that Brant just got 11 good rounds under his belt while Horn blew Mundine out in 96-seconds doesn't help Horn either.

Horn may yet pay a high price for the Mundine farce. He's going to need some tough rounds under his belt to prevail at the back end of a fight with Brant & the reality is he doesn't have them.

The best that can be said for Horn is that he'll be going in fresh. He's probably better off than Dennis Hogan though. Horn's opponent looks like a light heavy. Hogan's looks like a fully-fledged cruiser.

I hope Super Hooper is out of the Big House by the time this fight rolls around b/c I think he would make a good sparring partner for this one. He's got long limbs & good skills. I think Juppity mentioned August as a release date for him so that could rule that out. Someone like Dennis Hogan as a sparring partner is nothing like Brant.

Fighting Brant is not a good idea for Horn. Like you said Brant is naturally bigger and on top of that he is a lot more skilled than Horn. Horn's best weapon is his dirty tactics like wrestling and head butting but Brant's size will make this much harder for Horn. Horn's only chance is to survive the distance and hope for another robbery but even though Brant is not a big puncher I think that he will stop Horn in the mid to late rounds just from an accumulative beating.

I'm okay with Brant as the opponent. Having regard to all the circumstances, I think he's the best & most interesting opponent Horn could face.

No question it's a big hill for Horn to climb though. Figuratively & literally.

96 seconds against what appeared to be a completely shot Anthony Mundine isn't much of a platform to base a middleweight world title challenge on.

To make up for that, Horn will need some decent sparring. Dennis Hogan's style is nothing like Rob Brant so Horn will need someone else to give him significant rounds. Super Hooper has the right size & style but can't provide sparring if he's locked up. Maybe Horn could go with Rohan Murdock? He's fast, rugged & aggressive. Not an ideal style match for Brant but perhaps the best available locally.

You have no ****ing idea and are wrong about almost everything especially when talking about Jeff Horn,2-3 pages ago in this thread you talked all sorts of **** about Horn based on 1 article about a possible future fight with Horn vs Tim Tszyu, trying to use it as proof that Horn cherry picks opponents way past their best or that are unproven despite all evidence being the opposite LOL

    * Fox Sports will be showing Degale vs Eubank this Sun .
Undercard will include Lee Selby vs Omar Douglas .
    Joe Joyce vs Bermane Stiverne.
Fox to release Tv details hopefully soon.
    * Isaac Hardman returns on March 31. Hardman reminds me of Renold Quinlan . He is fighting at LHW while he can also fight at MW.
    * According to 7 News Brisbane the Hornet is now a MW and in deep negotiations for a May fight with Bryant. The bout is all but secured they reckon.
    * HW Justis Huni only 19 and the only Aust to win Gold at Youth World Champ is another to watch for Tokyo. Huni missed the last 4 mths of last yr after fracturing his hand in Germany. He spent the first mth of this yr training at the AIS and was going to participate in Bulgaria but sustained an injury in training.
However he is now back in training in England to train for an upcoming tournament in Finland. This overseas exp is needed if Aust Am boxers are to be competitive for medals at Tokyo.

A couple of really good points coming out of Juppity's posts above.

Firstly, kudos to Blake Caparello for giving a young, up-coming Australian fighter a chance to advance his career by fighting him. I think Caparello will win, but it's nice to see one of these experienced guys being willing to give a young bloke a chance.

Secondly, it's good to know we have a couple of amateurs worth following through to Toyko. Harry Garside, who won gold on the Gold Coast, & Justis Huni who appears to have the potential to be the best h/w we've ever produced. Good to see they are both being funded to get international amateur experience. You can't win medals at big tournaments without that.

You want evidence, here it is pal.

    Randall Bailey 42 years old
    Ali Funeka 38 years old
Manny Pacquiao 38 years old (Manny beat his ass still and got shockingly robbed on the cards)
    Anthony Mundine 43 years old
Tried dragging 38 year old Paulie Malignaggi out of retirement
Trying to make a fight with novice Tim Tszyu
Cherry pick defense of title he never should of had against gypsy bum Gary Cocoran

Only time he fought a legit young opponent in a fair fight former lightweight Terrance Crawford he was dominated lost every second of the fight and Crawford didn't even get out of second gear LOL. He and his deluded trainer Rushton made a bunch of BS excuses as to why he lost, it was pathetic then they had the nerve to say that it was stopped early and Horn was coming on ROFLMAO! Horn and his team are a bunch of cherry picking cheating deluded F wits. That clown Lonergon in charge at Duco is a POS they are everything that is wrong with boxing. On top of all that Horn is a dirty fighter who head butts & wrestles. He also tried using illegal hand wraps in his fight with Pacquiao which prompted his punk ass brother to try and start a fight with Parkinsons sufferer Freddie Roach. This was something Jeff Horn encouraged. He ended up being a pathetic fighter who got stopped in embarrassing fashion in his pro debut LOL. This proves cowards like Horn's brother can never win a fair fight.
**** Jeff Horn and his whole team they are an embarrassment to the sport I love.
